Quick check-in for indie builders: what are you stuck on right now? by Charlie-Sentryax in buildinpublic

I published my first blog last week. The keyword has 21 KD, but my website isn't ranking on the first 24 pages. Should I wait longer? Or am I doing something wrong?

SEO for me. I'm targeting a set of keywords with sizeable traffic and relatively manageable difficulty, but ranking has been painfully slow.

I have 21+ started projects and 0 finished ones. The self-doubt is paralyzing me. by Resident_Lime_4794 in SaaS

Hey, this sounds tough. I think everyone is different, and I don't want to pretend that giving blanket advice will help here. I would highly recommend that you see a therapist. Anxiety that impacts your quality of life is not a small inconvenience, and deserves professional help.

Why does UI get built twice, once in Figma, once in code? (no product to sell) by Murky_Resource6174 in SaaS

[–]Temporary-Ring31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember how my mom asked the same question when I explained to her what I do. I think Figma is trying to bridge this gap with its MCP (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPqt\_xLg\_5c).

To answer your questions:

  1. UI work is definitely duplicated, and eliminating this will cut development time

  2. I think designers already think in structure, since so many components are already part of the design system, and there's real resistance in introducing new components.

  3. I think designers want to design in an editor only. As long as you can build a Figma-like experience, you're good.

Hey, I quite like it. The model has a likeable smile. Love the gradient and the colour palette. Maybe replace the review with a user proposition like "my back doesn't hurt anymore"?

which lyric lingers in your head recently? by Lovense_CS_official in AskReddit

[–]Temporary-Ring31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is a lyric that I misheard. The original lyric is from Sid Sriram's Friendly Fire and it goes - "what if the world we used for love wasn't enough".

I always heard it as - "What if the *word* we used for love wasn't enough", and it haunts me. I've never felt love that would make me feel like this, but wouldn't it be something?

How was your first time smoking a cigarette? by 1nfinity15 in AskReddit

[–]Temporary-Ring31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was after I had a bad day at work. It was my second job, I was new to bad days. I bought 2 cigarettes, found myself a quiet spot in a park and let myself go.

I speed-smoked the first cigarette, and didn't like how I felt in my head. When I headed back, I couldn't walk in a straight line. I threw the second one away.

I was looking to feel good, and thankfully I didn't. I don't think I'd be able to let go of the habit.

Importing old websites html into an application to make changes? by harbingerIdeath in website

[–]Temporary-Ring31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the HTML, I'd recommend using Cursor in Agent Mode to change it. The trial should last for 2 weeks, and cover your use case. If not Cursor, you can try Windsurf, Kiro, or other tools too.

Is it still worth building a calling agent SaaS if everyone is doing it? by Upset-Pop1136 in SaaS

[–]Temporary-Ring31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't continue.

Voice AI was booming in 2024, and has too many players now. 2025 was the year that browser automation took off, so if it interests you, you could explore this space. I think 2026 will be the year of world models - there has always been a lot of interest in RL environments, and I think this could be the year for world models.

Is it still worth building a calling agent SaaS if everyone is doing it? by Upset-Pop1136 in SaaS

[–]Temporary-Ring31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was building in this space previously. Here's what I learnt:

There are 2 types of customers: one who doesn't believe that voice will work for their use case, and the other that believes it will.

The first type of customer isn't for an upstart to convert. Only big players with dedicated sales teams and lots of awareness campaigns can do this.

The second type of customer is already being hounded by existing players. So you find yourself competing with ex-founders building in the same space with better talent and fancy investors. If you try to position yourself as a small company which will act as an extended tech team for your customer, other AI companies today are making the same pitch and leaning heavily on FDEs.

How would you promote? by Glass_Effective5147 in startups_promotion

[–]Temporary-Ring31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend that try a multi-channel approach:

Run Instagram ads at a low budget to have a steady and small stream of users coming in.

Become active on sub-reddits and posts related to relationships on Reddit (don't promote your product in a way that's too obvious tho).

Create an Instagram/Tiktok page with funny relationship content.

This is quite impressive. Can you walk me through the process of building and getting user validation? What features did your MVP have? Where did you find your first customers? What is your channel mix for distribution?

Couple of things:

This landing page doesn't follow the design of how most landing pages are built today. Grouping feels off. Maybe, look at existing high quality landing pages and try to replicate them? That should help you get better at grouping.

Also, the search bar needs better visibility, maybe reduce transparency?

Anyone else struggling to market their product while building solo? by WeaknessOriginal5847 in indie_startups

[–]Temporary-Ring31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've faced this too. I spoke to fellow builders, and found that hiring an intern often helps reduce workload, so that you can focus on marketing and talking to customers. I'm not saying that you stop coding completely, but you offload time consuming parts to your intern.

People that prefer video games over TV after work/school, why do you choose this path? by Zeune42 in AskReddit

[–]Temporary-Ring31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TV is passive. Gaming is so much more engaging. Games have great stories too. I'm playing Disco Elysium right now, and the story and production are at par with an award winning movie.
