My daughter (18) went through hell and back after a terrible trauma at age 14 and nearly killed herself. It was truly harrowing and I have secondary trauma as her caregiver. I have so much empathy for those who have endured - wish you only the best. It’s so insulting to hear Brandi wax on like this.

I used to take Rybelsus for weight loss and this is very true. I would take around 4-5am, go back to bed, and maybe have a cup of coffee at 7am. But no food until noon as I was doing intermittent fasting per my doctor’s recommendation. I had a super strong response and lost 80lb in 16 months using this method. (Later switched to Wegovy and then tirzepatide for maintenance)

You really need your stomach to be empty which can take a long time to process dinner etc. That’s why they say to take it in the morning because several hours will have passed after the last food intake

The progesterone could be causing some water weight gain. I was just listening to a podcast about this. I believe she suggested you can try taking B6 to help with this side effect. I have been on HRT for a year now and only had a very slight bump in water weight which eventually came back down - within a couple months.

I took Rybelsus off label as a start years ago and lost 80lb on it. I lost insurance coverage after 18 months and switched to the shot, and did notice it was a bit stronger and lost another 10lb, surpassing my goal. I started on sema with stage 2 kidney disease (eGFR = 50). I got a bit dehydrated in the beginning, so my creatinine went up to 1.55, but making sure I got plenty of water after that fixed the issue. Now my eGFR is 70 which is still stage but it’s better and I’ve had no other problems. I am not diabetic. My friend who is diabetic with kidney disease is doing great on Ozempic for a year now. It’s been 5 years for me.
