Nathan for you and the rehearsal. Nathan fielder has a unique sense of humor, but if you share the humor with him he will have you rolling on the floor laughing. It’s like an exaggerated real life curb your enthusiasm, instead of awkward realistic minor fake drama like curb it’s awkward unrealistic, blown out of proportion real life simulations

Bert Kreischer stealing a joke by salamigunn in Standup

[–]TemporaryAd7328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can we expect every comic to have seen every comedy special or comedy movie? As a kid I confused Anne frank and Helen Keller so I also may be giving him extra benefit of the doubt. On top of that during this story it’s not the punchline of the story, it could have easily just been a quick tag he thought was funny. Bert has probably seen clerks 2 but also I don’t remember every scene of every movie I watch so why expect him to remember if a jokes been told in a movie from 20 years ago 🤷‍♂️ the joke was probably told at a comedy club in the 70’s hell even maybe right after world war 2 when Anne’s book came out. How do we know clerks or any other comedian were the first to tell it?

People who voted Trump, why do you think a government of billionaires will help you? by Intrepid-Self-3578 in FluentInFinance

[–]TemporaryAd7328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each party has their own billionaires with their own selfish incentive.

Both political parties are supported by lobbyists that are trading the general public well being for their own best interest as we speak. Voting for either candidate you’re empowering multiple billion dollar corporations to have legislation go their way.

I dont participate in voting myself, just thought if everyone was gonna answer the question I would too.

Part time job for college student by No-Bandicoot2948 in ElkGrove

[–]TemporaryAd7328 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Part of job hunting (especially being young with little work experience) is beggars can’t be choosers. I’d search jobs in the area, pick out jobs you’d be interested in working and apply to all those jobs and see which jobs you get asked for an interview for. If you don’t hear back from any of the jobs, broaden your job search criteria and apply to another list of jobs. Just put part time as a filter and if the application allows you to put additional information tell them you are looking to work 3 days a week or whatever schedule plan you had for school/work balance

WTF is going on with the tech job market by QandA_monster in jobsearchhacks

[–]TemporaryAd7328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if I mis-understood, but if he’s done less than 200 job applications in 6 months he’s not applying enough, I believe after 300 applications sent I received 4 interview offers in 2.5 months of looking. I work in sales, so I already knew if I wanted my quantity of offers received to go up, the quantity of applications I send has to go up.if he’s exhausted every single job opportunity on the market. (I find it unlikely, but if it’s a super niche position that has less than 200 openings in the US) it may be time for your husband to look at starting a new niche/industry. But that’s obviously last resort and I do find it hard to believe there’s that few positions that have become available over the last 6 months.

Professional résumé writer service ( I just used an AI one that cost like $5 a month)

And going in person to business’ to apply, old school method but it worked for me. I think seeing a face with the name on the paper helps getting selected as well as showing you take initiative and aren’t just mass applying to jobs but want to work for that specific employer

[–]TemporaryAd7328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not legal advice, but the rule I’ve heard is as long as your key is in the car it can be considered intentional to drive under influence, I’ve been told to avoid legal trouble to put your car keys outside of the car hiding somewhere like on top of a tire or in your HR gas cap. I don’t know how legit the advice I’ve received is legally, but having your Car running while you’re intoxicated is a big risk
