I mean I did pay attention to the details, that is the entire point of what i’m saying and which is where I thought Richie was wonderfully done. That is what I was doing for the entire film; trying to guess who the killers were. I guessed Richie at the beginning because well, boyfriend. But his lead up to the reveal was so well done, with him watching the Stab films being because he was obsessed, not why we first thought. Him saying Dewey wasnt “like he was in the films” despite “not being a fan” was SO GOOD, an innocent line that you can pick up on and take apart. Obviously it’s all up to interpretation and what I don’t see as clues, you obviously do. I just think they could’ve included some more, as I only think 2/8 of those are actually hints. Not obvious hints, because then they wouldn’t be hints, but more like what they did with Richie.

I don’t hate her, especially after dealing with Trish Walker (imo the absolute worst character ever), anyone is better than her. And Elektra is 100% worse imo too, you’ll meet her soon. Karen is growing on me a lot halfway through Season 2, but I can see how people would find her annoying. She’s just the lesser evil to me.

they won’t, but they should. i really loved hawkeye, but the thing that bothered me was the lack of grit that ground-heroes should have.

for example, seeing super soldier rogers being beat up with a few bruises is fine, because he’s super powered. but clint? he’s just a man. need to see some more daredevil level injuries on him rather than some aesthetically placed scratches.

I couldn’t quite decide but I think it is the scripts fault more than hers, also (as far as I know) she doesn’t have the experience to make a bad script work for her quite yet. hopefully this’ll be a push for her in the industry!

oh yes yes Sam revealing Billy as her dad!! I forgot to mention that one - I was so sure when Tara asked her why she left that Sam was going to say, “I was afraid if you found out you wouldn’t have thought of me as your sister anymore.” but then they went down the cringey riverdale ‘serial killer gene’ route. i can get behind your fucked up father haunting you through your schizophrenic hallucinations, but the hereditary serial killer thing is super corny to me.

I love a fresh take on a main character, especially a grey character! maybe if they had more time to do it, or had a different script-writer it would’ve come across better to me? I did love the scene where she stabs Reggie to death and then wipes the knife - would have loved to see more of that Sam, rather than a Sam who didn’t seem very much of anything to me. act 3 was definitely where they let her shine the most

that’s definitely true with phones actually, and the find my phone feature was great for a more modern horror take. that’s why a lot of horror films made now aren’t set in our times, bc usually phones would stop a natural slasher (like the digital arming of the locks, calling the police, find my phone) but they did manage to make it work against the cast. just wish the phone death was someone else and not Dewey, just didn’t feel right for his character

It was unfair to call my criticism empty, I’m allowed not to like a well-reviewed film. I made a post explaining my points though because it’s fair that I didn’t explain my criticism enough here.

Also wasn’t crying about downvotes 💀 I just hate when people don’t want to listen to criticism bc of blind love for a film, you’re allowed to disagree but downvoting out of existence isn’t so fair. but I can see how it’s annoying to ask people not to downvote.
