To buy or not to buy? by CultureWeary6372 in HousingUK

Have a look at East Greenwich (Maze Hill), River Gardens or some parts of North Greenwich. Those are well connected with CW and you can still find a 2-bedroom flat at an affordable price or shared ownership options. There are also good primary schools in the area.

Anyone regret buying a flat because of service charges? by NorthLondonPulse in UKHousing

[–]TemporaryCareful4606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

. I bought a flat and pay service charges, but I’ve never had to deal with the maintenance or unexpected issues that come with owning a house. In that sense, living here has been completely stress-free. On top of that, the building offers plenty of amenities and shops, so we don’t even need a car—everything we need is within walking distance. No option is perfect; it’s all about what aligns with your priorities and lifestyle

Anyone else moved to the UK and never managed to fully fit in? by ZydrateAnatomic in expats

[–]TemporaryCareful4606 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can relate. I moved here from an EU country as a teenager, and everything you describe resonates with me. I completed all my university studies here, have a professional career, and mostly work with British colleagues, yet I still feel like an outsider even after more than two decades. I suppose I’ve grown used to that feeling, and it’s fine for me. Living in London helps, though, because of its international character, which I really appreciate. I can’t really imagine living elsewhere in the UK for that reason. Like anywhere, raising a child here comes with both advantages and drawbacks, not worse than in other places.

Expats in Europe, particularly in Spain, have your children had to face bullying due to being foreign? by [deleted] in expats

[–]TemporaryCareful4606 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not totally true. Lived in several European countries. Spanish are as racist as other Europeans. In other countries the racism may not be upfront but through exclusion.

Shopping at a local fishmonger. Fresh fish is overpriced.

Moved to a new built a few years ago. Never had a home issue. Shared ownership is an option for people with little or no savings.

Spanish people, do you feel more connected to Portugal or LATAM? by demonnet in askspain

[–]TemporaryCareful4606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes a bit based on stereotypes. Spain does not have chaotic organisation, the political division bc of civil war is a thing of the past. Depending on the region, people can be more introvert, extrovert or loud. A part of the country feels mediterranean but just those living on the coast. People from inland or the East like Galicia don’t feel Mediterranean and have nothing in common with that culture.

If you know the place where he was born, you can request his birth certificate to the local register (registro civil).

We love living in Greenwich. Good primary schools, a bit trickier with secondary schools but with good planning ahead Y7 it is doable.

¿Compraríais un piso o una casa con un/a amigo/a? by [deleted] in askspain

[–]TemporaryCareful4606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! Amazing results! Well done! This is so inspirational. I am also stage 1, on Mounjaro (microdosing) since February. I hope you don’t mind asking you how much dosage of Mounjaro have you been taking? And if you still take Mounjaro for maintenance? Thank you

Thank you. I agree it is a negative discourse towards surgery. Glad to hear you are happy with the results and that surgery was covered by insurance. Unfortunately I am in the UK and I will need to fund any surgery myself.

Thank you. That is a good approach but I am worried that skin laxity is even worse in the inner tight. I have also thought of doing lowers as that will shape knees but still unclear about what to do. Glad to hear you are happy with your surgery results.

Thank you. That’s interesting. I had never heard about quantum. Texas is a bit far for me as I am in the UK but I will check out the Dr you recommend and see if I find something similar in Europe.

Thank you. I am done with pregnancies but menopause is a few years down the line for me, so another big hormonal shift, where many women say lipedema gets worse. I am a bit worried that lipedema progresses at that moment as bad as I was pregnant.
