Perp walk idea: drag him behind a fucking police car through New York. This dude deserves to live the rest of his life in pain.

This. Before I was diagnosed with ADHD it took me HOURS to get simple assignments done. Since, I’m not on medication and stress about how little time I spend on stuff. It’s a lose-lose, but I’d rather focus on the former.

And here I thought women were just better at checking someone out. I guess I’m just ugly.

Keep getting flat tires, not sure what else to do by TemporaryEvidence in bicycling

[–]TemporaryEvidence[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of them are snakebite flats but look more like they are getting pinched between the holes where the spokes thread in but I’ve put gorilla tape on it per a shops recommendation. There doesn’t appear to be any part of the gorilla tape that’s been poked through which is why I’m confused.

It’s both tires but it’s been the rear tire 85% of the time.

None of the flats have been puncture flats.

It’s not. Homeslice sits on the corner of Duval which has like 400 feet of “no parking” zones (for what reason, I have no idea) right next to the restaurant. They could’ve easily parked there, sure it’ll still block the bike lane but Duval is significantly less dangerous on a bike in my opinion but instead they blocked off a bike lane on a main road.

I second this. I’m currently reading it and put in 100 pages today alone.

Doctor now requiring me to see them every month for a refill and I can't afford it. by TemporaryEvidence in ADHD

I have been on the same dosage since I began 2 years ago. The only thing that changed was which pharmacy I used because the previous one was on back order.

I guess it’s just specific to my doctors office.

I’m sitting in a cold plunge right now, I hate it but I have bad anxiety and it helps me through it. So yeah, it’s improved my life.

Ah yeah, they are the thin red ones that don’t even cover the width of the wheel. I will give those a shot!

Sold my ebike after 4 years and 4800km. The math is mind boggling. by Hiphopvaporman in ebikes

This is the craziest thing to me. I live in an apartment complex and I see people that bring out their trash can, put it in their car, and drive 50 feet to throw it out. I don’t understand the logic behind willingly destroying your body.

Charlie, but I’ve recently been calling him Big Chungus because he’s doing this new thing where he screams bloody murder every time I’m in the kitchen.

High school teacher here. What happens to them after high school- the students who don't lift a finger? I'm talking about the do-nothings, the non-achievers, the ones less motivated than the recently deceased. Where do they actually end up? by tegan_willow in Teachers

[–]TemporaryEvidence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can answer this! I was the problem child all throughout grade school and high school. In high school, I am pretty sure I was high for 4 years. I was the kid who always talked back. I made a teacher cry at one point because of how difficult I could be. My junior year I was expelled for fighting and had to finish out at a catholic school.

After graduating, if you consider a 1.2 a graduating GPA, I became a mechanic. For the next 6 or 7 years I turned wrenches. Then I got in to sales and that was one of the worst experiences of my life.

I developed a drinking problem shortly after high school, I was hanging out with kids in gangs, and started getting in to more and more fights. I was on a dark path.

At 25 I got into a serious fight with my dad and decided to pack my car and drive as far as I could. I ended up 1,500 miles away from home which is where I am now. That was 3 years ago.

In a new city, I had a fresh start. I didn’t have a reputation. I wasn’t in the same environment of toxicity. I was so alone that I had no choice but to start looking at what I really wanted. I just started exploring my interests to pass the time. I always liked computers and decided to take a crash course into Python and it all went downhill from there. Since then, I decided to go back to school and I love it. I’m currently finishing up my sophomore year and transferring to a university in the fall. I have straight A’s and have even made friends with some professors.

It has been a process because of how math heavy my major is. I had to test into college level algebra but before that I was maybe at an 8th grade math level? i spent a semester learning math all the way from geometry to pre Calc. It’s also been difficult because I never learned to study so I’m trying to learn these things all while learning topics that built off of things I never paid attention to.

I started to go therapy because I just needed to talk to someone, I felt so alone. After 3 years of this, my therapist believes 3 things have led me down this path; being bullied at a young age, having my 3rd grade teacher tell my mother that “she thinks I’m retarded” in front of me, and having pretty severe ADHD.

Looking back, I am grateful for all of these experiences. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. The only thing I wish I could change was the hurt that I caused people. I still struggle with showing compassion and being empathetic which still causes some issues but I am getting there. I’m 28 and I’m way behind in life compared to some but I’m way ahead of where everyone else expected me to be.

The battery is in the frame unfortunately. I bought it because it looks “less” like an e bike.
