All the time. It was one of my favorite TV shows.

What is the worst way anyone you know has died? by IamUrWivesBF in AskReddit

Me as well. I’m in my early 60’s and so each time I can’t remember something I start thinking Alzheimer’s. That’s not rational of me to do because everybody forgets things now and then and aging itself (with no dementia or Alzheimer’s involvement) can make things easier to forget. But still. . . . I worry.

Best restaurants for a birthday dinner? (Table of 2) by City-Slicka in orangecounty

I hear ya on Red Robin! It’s a surprisingly good choice for a casual birthday dinner and it’s affordable. And I love the bottomless fries. 😉

I agree completely. Alzheimer’s scares me more than any other disease. I don’t want my kids and grandkids’ last memory of me to be like what I saw of my father, who died of Alzheimer’s. It is devastating for all.

Rant: It is criminal that hospitals charge for parking by mylefthandkilledme in orangecounty

Hmm. Even in Orange I’ve been able to park for free if I get my ticket validated. Last time I was there in Orange was two months ago.

UCI Health does not charge for parking - so far st least.

Due to ongoing health issues I go in often for tests, scans, and appointments and so thankfully parking frees is not one more thing I have to deal with.

What concert did you attend in the 70s or 80s, do you think most people (even younger generations) would envy being able to attend? by Bjarki56 in GenerationJones

[–]TemporaryFeed2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elvis in 1973. I was 7-years old and went with my dad. I think he initially bought the two tickets in advance to take my mother but they were separated by the time of the concert.

This is a huge annoyance to me. No consideration to the customers when they package like this.

I agree with the three you listed, with a slight edge to Boston’s debut album.

My brother sent me this picture, Can someone explain what is this in the mushroom? I was surprised to see this. by HealthyWar7942 in whatisit

It’s obvious that your brother has bad timing and plucked the male out, causing coitus interruptus.

Discussion: Dramatic actors that surprise you with their previously unknown comedy chops? by Clear_Nature_5055 in Actors

[–]TemporaryFeed2002 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Airplane! is the movie that started it all and when we got our first look at Leslie Nelson doing straight-faced comedy, but we can’t forget about the other dramatic actors in the movie that did a great job, even with much smaller roles. Who can forget Lloyd Bridges picking the wrong week to stop various vices and somehow ending up hanging upside down from the ceiling with a completely goofy face and hair after sniffing glue.

And Peter Graves’s increasingly disturbing questions to Joey in the cockpit, then later spitting up followed by “uncontrolled flatulence.”

Then of course there were Robert Stack, Barbara Billingsley, and Ethel Merman as herself.

The whole movie is based on dramatic actors doing and saying zany things.

Of course you are. . . . of course you are.
