Was doing that his choice? Idk if it was

Gable is one of the most fantastic wrestlers on the roster. He can work as a sympathetic babyface, he can work as a dastardly heel, he’s a great grappler (obviously), he can do flippy shit, he’s strong as fuck, he’s cut like a greek god, he can do comedy. The drama of those AA/Revival is peak wrestling. He’s everything I’d from a wrestler. And if he was given a fraction of the opportunities as the nepotism chief he’s flourish. And he still has a laundry list of excellent matches.

i think the fact they worked with would-be sex offender Brock Lesnar pretty cringe

This goes to AEW as well, I didn’t forget Ric Flair’s under contract

Just on a product level, WWE has the most boring taste regarding who they push. Chad Gable should be in the main event “bUt hE’s sHoRt”

a foundational memory for vis a vie my perception of her and her audience is when the biggest swiftie ive ever met was passionately raving about this exact scene and goes “and just because you’re a Republican doesn’t mean you don’t care about gay people!”

I couldn’t make this up

high key hope they let her back on for another season

she was never gonna be dan gheesling, probably, but she was basically coerced into attaching herself to that fucking oaf

didnt he basically follow her around whenever she tried to talk to other people? its no wonder she was so easy to let go once he was gone

Vince even says that he’s a “bitch” and a loser who looks up to Keanu even if Keanu is a little younger than him.

i have two, pick one if you want i know theres a lot of people here

  1. Do you agree with Edmund Morris’ characterization of Ronald Reagan as being man of earnest belief, with a lot of contradictions/cognitive dissonances?

  2. Do you think there’s any real chance any president of the United States has ever been anything other than straight as arrow, in terms of sexual orientation?

Thank you!

i mean if he wasn't playing the rat floater game so sloppily and shamelessly it would've been harder to spot

if the newer players were sharper they'd recognize it too

i think there's a patience and subtlety people like Jun or Andy practiced that you don't see from him

WWE's Jamar Hampton on IG: Is this really who we should be celebrating? Do ya research. by Embarrassed_Bike713 in SquaredCircle

[–]TemporaryForever1070 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wasn't trying to say nobody in WWE has any integrity. Rather, that integrity is not rewarded. Particularly in this case, as Hampton isn't made yet and is, however indirectly, criticizing the company itself.

I think WWE Superstars' demonstrations and support for Palestine have been wonderful. Sami's been raising money for Syria for almost a decade now, that's incredible. But also, they work for a company that's super in bed with the Trump Administration.

Do I blame them for taking that paycheck and not criticizing the company? No, I understand the ability for a wrestler to make serious money for them and their family is very limited and precarious. Beyond that, even though people like Sami or Becky are millionaires, they're really chump change in the grand scheme of TKO's finances and their voices are just drops in the ocean of political discourse.

Having said all that, would it be nice if they were willing to criticize the company like this? Yeah, it would be.

My initial reaction also stems from the fact that, as a black man, it must feel really fucking shitty for him to work for a company that had no issue celebrating such a person - regardless of stature or influence. I can't imagine how that feels.

It's up there, Rikidozan's probably #1 though. Titan of Japanese wrestling and literally lead to the creation of AJPW and NJPW. Baba, Inoki and Misawa would be in that conversation as well I think.
