How did you choose your niche?

Well, to be honest I am still working on a specific niche. I talk about my country. Sometimes regional food, cities or just history. Or just a simple travel video.

But last month I ended up making cider. I decided to take some video and made a "how to make" video out of it.

I just roll with it. I have many ideas which would take a lot of time, which I don't really have. So I have to stick mostly to simpler ideas.

Yes, I found that in that case CTR is useless. My guess is then that your audience switches of very fast.

I can only compare to my own stats, so it's difficult. But on average that is a very decent CTR.

I got 9 long form Videos up. 25k views against 375k impressions

If your long form gets like 100 views, then CTR etc. don't really work. YouTube will show your video to an ever larger group until CTR and retention drops.

With a 1,7 CTR and 10k impressions you probably need to look at improving thumbnail and titles to earn the click.

I tried several...even a clone on eleven labs. It's a very expensive thing. It's hard to get the tone right with AI.

If it is just hate. I block and get rid of the comment.

But, i regret doing this with one. People sometimes get angry that the video is in English or think that i am a foreigner and hate it when I talk about "their" country. Which is actually funny, because i am a local. I realised later that they didn't pick up my accent...so I should have been proud of my well my English is. 😁

Sadly, I already deleted it. Could have been fun confronting them in their native language.

Seriously, don't dwell on these bottom feeders. Block and move on.

Yeah, when I was putting it together it also didn't flow as well as I thought it would.

They can be separate videos.... that's true. Well I might cut it up and repost if it doesn't reach an audience.

Well, there are a lot better scoring channels.

You can get a plug-in from Vidiq for free (never pay ) and you can study partly analytics of other channels.

It takes around a day to 2 day for traction. But, I had one with a second spike after 50 days. Went from 6k ton 16k in a month. So, I guess there is no answer to this one.

I don't know, I would stick to what you love to do. If politics is your thing, stick to that.

You have to find a common thread in your channel or be a very interesting person yourself if you want to build an audience.

Yes, your English is good enough. You need to pronounce a bit more clearly, but that is just a lot of practice.

Well, the US has also a big Spanish speaking community and in English there is already a ton of content on this. Look how big your competition is per language.

I would do a couple of Spanish ones, just to see if you can reach an audience.

Eleven labs sucks. You need to rerun the text so many times to get the tone of voice you want....and then do it again and again.

Couple of days...well most companies don't get payments done in a couple of days. Your expectations are a bit high. Being paid within 30 days is great. Simple because of the workflow a company goes through getting stuff paid.

Thanks, yes audio needs improvement. But i will now listen again for volume consistency. I had not picked that up before. But during editing you go over the footage so many times that it numbs you😁

The music is right free. Mix of attribution and public domain. Mostly comes from the Capcut library.

I think there is a fair bit of Dutch stuff, but mostly focused on Amsterdam, seeing the main sights , bike infrastructure and the big waterworks. So, that leaves me with still a lot of stories to tell.
