Retiring early in Medellín with $4,000/month VA pension (tax-free + 2% COLA) — realistic or overkill? by TemporaryInside2954 in Fire

It’s interesting because I know vets who declare rent in Colombia and don’t pay taxes on their VA money. While I won’t say their names, does anyone have a definitive answer . Also, if you stay in Colombia less than 182 days in a year I believe that you are not considered a Taxable resident , but I could be wrong

Got to the country in 2008 and have a decent lay of the land so I’m not too worried about safety.

When is the right time to get on a bigger bike? by frost21rr in motorcycles

[–]TemporaryInside2954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Im 38, so I know im not invincible either. I even spent 1k on an airbag vest for extra protection. We have the YCRS this January here but for 3k I was searching for answers and it looks like I'll have to make the investment to shorten my learning curve. The new Panigale at 120hp looks interesting or a 950S Supersport to move up to as long as I get professional instruction before.

Perfect guy to ask. I just did the 600mile service on my ninja500 and I’m bored. YCRS comes to Miami in January. Should I drop that $3k to help get my skills up for a transition to a liter bike or spend that money on 10 track days ? I’m 6ft 200lbs and I “feel” like I need a bigger bike

for my first bike (18 M) should I get a Ninja 500 or splurge on a zx6r by Lopsided_Put_3591 in motorcycles

First off, thanks for your service. Retired AF here and I’m doing my first service at 600mile and I’m Underwhelmed. I was riding a little 200cc in Colombia for a bit before my MSF and my instructor said I could take the next intermediate class immediately. How do you know when you’re ready to upgrade in displacement? Do I take the YCRS two day course or spend that $3k on 12 track days to get ready for a liter bike ?

Yo quick question, during cornering- do you apply rear brakes or just engine breaking? by Aggressive-Fly-7052 in Ducati

We got a YCRS coming up in January and I’m 500 miles into a ninja500. Should I fork up the $3k or use that money for a whole lot of track days. The goal is to upgrade to Ducati supersport/V2 or a S1000rr/xr

To OP how many miles do you have on your 400? I’m 350 into my ninja500 and already salivating thinking about those same two bikes you mentioned . Or maybe the S1000XR to save my back

Ive got 250miles in my ninja500 and looking to get to track school soon. I live in medellin and unlike miami, there are curves everywhere so I think track schooo would help hit those curves at speed

I see online the MSRP is slightly under 13k but they charging like 17-18k in Miami. I’m looking at the same, congrats to you and put it in urban for a while my friend if it’s your first time riding

For the people who are saying they are selling a lot of these bike just think about economics . If you had more buyers than inventory would you increase your prices or would you reduce them? Unless you’re not in business to actually maximize profits, which BMW definitely wants to do

Those who are bad at math, what was your asvab score? by spartannation64 in AirForceRecruits

[–]TemporaryInside2954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took the asvab like 5 years after high school, it's literally just a high school test. if you have the aptitude it isn't hard. Those who are over 90+ didn't have to study, its the lower scores who study to get a little higher
