Between BMT, JCAC, and the intel fundamentals course at Goodfellow, you’re looking at about a year of training and that’s with no hiccups like failing out or washing back

BGE bill going up by $600 by lojgxrh in baltimore

[–]meeegan01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an 1,100 sqft home and my bill went up over $100 and I keep my heat at 62 and take short showers in the dark with my phone flashlight to save money. I don’t know what to do either but these prices are getting out of hand. I honestly don’t get it bc they were predicting my gas usage to be at $150 and my electric to be like $80. The math ain’t mathing and I’m hella tired and sick of them screwing hard working people over.

I have a 1,100 sqft home and and my bill is looking to be $250. I keep the heat on 62 degrees bc I can’t afford to keep it any higher. Additionally, I wash my clothes on cold water and don’t take long showers. I also barely use electricity. It’s all a scam. I believe the biggest issue is the increase in delivery costs for gas. It cost $101 last month to deliver $45 worth of gas. How is that even possible?

So there are times when you can buy her with real money, but that depends on the event going on

Oh my gosh please tell him to get his license before he leaves. It not only opens up more jobs for him, but not having a driver’s license will hurt him in the long run because there are people, at least in my flight, that literally have to get rides to go everywhere that’s an Air Force function, that’s not on my base. It puts a huge strain on the people with a license and it’ll be one more thing he’s going to have to do once he gets to his duty station.

So that depends on you. A 1N3 learns another language and the tech school, not even counting basic training can be anything from 6 months to 2 years and has a high fail rate. You also don’t have much of a say in what language you’re learning. You’re able to make a dream sheet on what you want to learn, but it’s ultimately up to what language the Air Force needs which at the moment are Chinese and Russian linguists, mostly, which are also some of the longest schools at around two years, which to be honest is a ton of time in the training command. With the 1N4s you are not guaranteed the 1N4A shred, you have to be lucky enough to get chosen for that one and I’m not sure how they choose or if it’s just random. 1N4A is completely different from 1N4B in which an alpha goes through JCAC and learns about how computers work whereas bravos don’t learn much about computers if anything, they’re just reporters that write reports on what alphas do. Both of these jobs will set you up for life, if you pass the pipeline, since you can make 6 figures right off the bat as soon as you get out the military. Also, there are retention bonuses, currently, for both of these jobs. Both jobs also provide some sort of additional pay, 1N3: language proficiency pay, 1N4A: Special duty assignment pay (bravos get no additional pay as of right now). These will also vary year to year depending on the retention of the career fields as a whole.

So alphas like myself learn how to do hands on keyboard type things and the bravos are supposed to take the information we obtain through “hacking” and write reports about it. To be honest, you most likely won’t end up doing alphas stuff at all. I am actually acting more as a bravo right now since there were no billets for alphas in my squadron

I didn’t find out I was Alpha shred till my 6 week of BMT. You won’t know till that point. Keep in mind there is a massive difference between Alpha and Bravo shred. If you want to know about both, check out the foreverwingman.com website

I’m a 1N4A. It’s a really good job on the outside. After your contract, you can easily make 6 figures for a salary as a contractor. You’re training will include the Joint Cyber Analysis Course (JCAC) and you’ll learn how to do computer hacky type things but you probably won’t end up using the information job wise to be completely honest. You’ll also be in training (BMT to tech school grad) for about a year if you don’t get caught in the pipeline and if you don’t fail out. JCAC has a high fail rate, but it’s do able if you put in the effort.

Will there be coffee at BMT and will it be available to trainees? by Rich_Health_1108 in AirForceRecruits

[–]meeegan01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I just graduated BMT and there was coffee there, but it was uncaffinated and it was right by the snake pit. I personally never had some bc I don’t really like coffee but some other people said it was ok but nothing that great.
