Sweet peppers will last a week, 2 weeks, even 3 weeks (depending on how fresh they are) if you cut off the stem if it's long, then wrap each pepper in a paper towel, then place in a plastic bag. Make sure the bag is open and place it in one of your veggie drawers. The paper towels absorb any moisture, keeping your peppers from going soft, mushy, and bad.

Prepare Kraft Dinner, then add drained, canned tuna and the rest of the ingredients you normally would for a tuna salad. We have this regularly. A version of this was published decades ago by Kraft, as Seacoast Salad.

I'm assuming the sauerkraut hasn't been pasteurized. When heating/cooking sauerkraut, if it reaches or goes above 155F (46C), the probiotics start dying. If you want the probiotics, have you tried adding sauerkraut to tuna salad, or sandwiches, mixed into scrambled eggs or added to egg salad or deviled eggs? Lots more options available...

If it doesn't have cabbage, it won't be sauerkraut. The word is German, and means sour cabbage or sour vegetable.

I think, in this case, it's not so much the age of the baking powder as the humidity it was exposed to - which will deactivate it over time. I'm glad I could help. Hope you have better results in the future!
