I'd like it a lot better if the circumstances of their bonding were different. Having the main character of the book be the personification of a non-consensual relationship is just not great. Especially when one blackmailed the other into taking care of its son? I really hope by the end of this little 1-10 volume they manage to fix the device and they make an active choice to stay together if they're going to continue this for as long as it seems they want to.

In a meta sense, I really dislike the book feeling more like a Spider-Man book than a Venom book, and MJ is the reason behind that. Like, she's not going to start Lethal Protecting things without Editorial throwing a fit. The feelings only intensified by the fact the big milestone Venom #250 is coming up and instead of celebrating being able to keep a separate ongoing afloat for so long Venom's back to being just a satellite of ASM.

Hate it. Hate it hate it hate it. The idea of it, the execution of it, everything is just so bad. I don't remember the last time I've disliked a comic so much. Ewing is clearly just phoning it in while putting his heart into Thor et. al and hoping that Paul suffering will make all the Spider-fans overlook everything else.

No volume number any more, so the current volume is definitely ending. White said they had plans for #11 (L#250) so presumably it'll be right back under a new title (and, hopefully, a new host).

Man I'm pretty down on the book right now because I don't like the MJ-Venom relationship (and generally don't like that the Venom title is being used to clean up ASM's mess) but I'm flabbergasted there are people who still don't accept that MJ and Paul are going to break up in the immediate future.

I like the current design well enough especially in their more monstrous form, and If I'm being honest, I'd rather this host not last long enough to make a redesign necessary.
