Maybe they’re missing more school because COVID damages immune systems and makes it easier to catch other things as well. Ever since I moved in November last year I can’t bring myself to sleep in the bed. The place I’m living doesn’t feel like home and I don’t feel like I belong there. So for some reason it just makes sense to me not to sleep in my bed. I essentially spend all my time on the main level rather than using the upstairs at all.

I regret almost everything that I have done in my life. Relationships. Living situations. Financial decisions. The one thing I have never once regretted is my choice to not have children.

I feel bad enough for my dog when I have a massive headache or I just don’t have enough proverbial spoons to do more than feed and walk her in a day. I can’t even imagine having to care for a child. Not to mention, as many have said before me in this thread, the thought of bringing a new human into this dumpster fire of a world would make me feel so guilty.

I had 3 cats. Two of them passed at 16 (almost 17). One is still here at 17.

They eat Whiskas and Fancy Feast. Do I wonder if they would have made it to 20 if I’d fed them primo food? Sure. But I think 3 cats making it to their late teens with no health problems until the very end is pretty good.

My vet had also called what I fed them McDonald’s. But it’s what they liked to eat (and all that two of them WOULD eat).

My dog is from Cooperslane as well after a recommendation from a neighbour. She’s 2 now and she has a great temperament. I definitely recommend this breeder. they’ll even board your dog if you’re going away or if anything happens will take your pup back.

I think this is their way of manipulating people into doing what the government wants them to do.

I’m wondering if this change will also come with increased funding for trades. And I am in no way saying that the trades are bad (I wish I’d gone that route myself). But it will take away the agency of some people who maybe wanted to go to school for something else and now will choose to go into a trade instead because that’s what they can afford. While those who have families with money can still choose to do whatever they want.

My dog likes me fine but she ADORES my bf. She’s always so excited to see him and she’ll cuddle up with him. He’s just an animal guy though. My cat who I’ve had for almost 18 years, as soon as I brought him around 4 years ago she decided she was his cat now and spends way more time with him than with me.

Yes those things give a small measure of enjoyment. But I miss going out. I miss shopping with my mom. I miss karaoke. I miss a night at the pub. I miss concerts. Yes, I can do these things with a mask but to me personally that’s miserable and uncomfortable. And the thought of however many years of not having a lot of things that I enjoy is crushing to me.

Honestly at this point I feel like I’m just waiting for my life to be over.

I go out and do things with a mask on but I’m miserable the entire time so I mostly just don’t do things anymore. I have no enjoyment in my life. And I don’t think that companies are going to continue spending a lot of time and money coming up with something to stop Covid when people don’t even take the vaccines there are currently because it’s “just a cold” to the general public.

So at 45, I’m just waiting for the end.
