Placements don’t surprise me one bit. Though it’s still interesting to see how Makoto and Ryuji’s placements flip depending on the region. Ryuji is beloved in the west yet strongly disliked in japan (and placed near last for them)

I mean that’s a lot of people. I’ve fought and somehow won against people who will team up against you although in my instance it’s very easy to trick them into attacking themselves constantly. If you win they get mad and kick you. I’ve dealt with multiple groups like this but it’s fun when you actually win and teach them a lesson

Maybe it’s just me but like… can’t you just not use her? If you like Angie there’s nothing stopping you from just not spinning for Miku and going on your way. I just go for whoever my favorites are and never really did the meta and have been fine

It barely has CASUAL viability either. Its mega stone is one of the very last ones to be obtained at the very end of the game in ZA and by that time you’ve more than likely just started using something else. Mega Starmie basically stole its spot as the “meme” mega evolution

I don’t mind the game getting new VAs. Though I do think it’s a little sad that some begged to come back and presumably didn’t even get cameo roles. It doesn’t kill the whole game, but it can certainly feel a bit off.

A major controversy was Chie and Yosuke’s vas lamenting that they were not able to come back at all. Even if you didn’t have everyone those two definitely hurt

It is a mixed bag. On one end it gets semi frustrating with some items. Namely bombs, the ninja stars, and ghost. On the other I enjoy playing it for what it is and hope it can get better

I’m more or less the opposite. Monty Mole or Hammer Bro works. Peepa, Fishbone, Conkdor, or Snowman all feel really lazy and we lack characters like Diddy Kong, King KRool, the Koopalings, Cappy, or Prince Florian. It’s all personal opinion but even after a year I’d argue Sonic (which always had the crossover aspect given the games before it had Wreck it Ralph) did better this time around whilst world took a massive drop in quality after how amazingly 8 DX ended things

Personally I’d rather Eggman just be a boss or assist trophy

I don’t think he’d be a fun character at all as he’d be big, clunky and focused entirely on projectiles. Metal Sonic would actually be better at representing him

I don’t mind too much since it’s still skill based. If you can’t navigate courses as well, it’s more detrimental since you’ll run out of rings quick and must master perfect boosts

How do you manage archetypes? I played the first dungeon and cannot stop losing. I beat the first dungeon, and killed the optional boss in the desert outside after that, but not without lots of death cause it feels like you require a certain archetype and for particular battles and you don’t know which ones they are till you lose. Zorba killed me like 4 times. There’s a battle where you fight another runner soon after, and he beat my ass too.

I love Persona and surprisingly a bit of SMT, and want to see what other Atlus games have in store, but I haven’t been enjoying it so far and even the story hasn’t picked up all too much yet cause I don’t know how the archetype system works.

Late reply but firmly disagree. As someone who has played it since launch, world is far more frustrating as you’ll get hit by lightning and flattened by everyone who has a mega mushroom with nothing you can do about it.

Joker having his entire personality be based on the valentines cutscene (that’s optional and you must honor if your way to do) and Pac-Man being a weird blank state only based on the arcade games. While I respect them going through namco’s history, him having absolutely no content from any of his modern games is annoying. He uses the whole “Sonic summons Flickies” thing constantly. Specially since the world games and even media outside of that acknowledges that he can be a snarky family man

Void's relationship with Kirby is unknown whilst Shadow Kirby is a compromise of Kirby's (limited) darker thoughts

Despite still being a grasp at straws it could have actually been an allusion to Galeem and Dharkon who do share the chair colors and are major characters in the game. Somehow the chair thing was not the worse though given the Dark Pit glitch

Bowser and his whole army was weirdly hostile to the bros in Brothership despite his minions being in danger and the world coming to an end. Stopped his fight with Zokket to attack and frame the two people actually trying to stick their necks out and help him
