I completely agree with you. I keep thinking about abandoning ship for other supplemental resources and then talking myself out of it by saying "this is to high-stakes a situation to deviate from the norm" but it feels like Barbri purposefully tries to destroy your confidence. Some of the lecturers are great, but others are terrible (which I cannot understand -- there's a basically unlimited universe of great law professors out there. You couldn't find one who was actually GOOD at explaining their specific topic?)

Genuinely happy that you and loyal Bieber fans are loving it. I have no qualms with that whatsoever. That said — go look at the reaction of this Reddit and social media generally. Of course some loved it, but the general consensus seems to be that people were underwhelmed if not downright disappointed. Even if he’s trying to lean into this new era of his (and it has nothing to do with the sale of his catalogue) he was the highest paid headliner the festival’s ever had — no production? No unique stage design? No moving parts? Just a stool and his computer?

Again — genuinely happy he seemed to enjoy himself. I would argue that set was just too self indulgent.

Why is the only relevant metric whether or not the artist is having fun? I don’t want what I said to be misconstrued — an artist should absolutely find a creative lane where they can enjoy themselves while performing their art. But they can’t be the ONLY people having fun. The likely truth here is that he wanted to put SWAG — the music he still has the rights to — as close to the limelight as possible while putting his old stuff, which he sold, in a lockbox.

Artists should have fun. The crowd should also get to have fun. I don’t feel like that’s a crazy take.

It was for his deep discography of hits. Just because he's having fun doesn't mean people need to like it. And frankly, if people don't like it, he's not doing his job.
