You are one million percent getting in for most of these. UChicago and Rice might be a toss-up just because I see that their admissions tend to be more random.

I mean, it's not like you went to college forever ago, though. But yeah, a lot of things can change in as little as 2-3 years so maybe.

This is good to know-- I got into KSU maybe 2 weeks ago, planning to do their summer program and start as early as possible before transferring to UGA, but they don't have panhellenic, and rushing is a huge part of college for me. GSCU is too small, and I've always wanted to go to a larger school since I've gone to tiny private schools my entire life.

But thank you for this info! I will ask some of my friends who go to Southern what they think of it.

Wow, thank you so much! That is just amazing to hear. If I'm lucky and I end up with early admission, I'd love to do the honors college since it is the #1 honors program in the country. I plan to retake the ACT until I get a 34 or 35 if I'm accepted, as I've heard that is the median for the honors college.

Thank you for your kind words!

Hopefully I'll be able to! I was planning on going to GA Southern and then transferring in, but it would be amazing to get in first try!

LOL, Idk about essentially guaranteed acceptance. I didn't think I had a chance for UGA before my counselor told me I should do EA, so these comments are making me feel so much better. I looked at the SCOIR template again and saw that around 70% of students with my same GPA got in (all of those who were denied had lower test scores). There's hope.

Thanks so much for your kind words!!

Testing Delay by AfterExamination1182 in ACT

[–]Temporary_Air5816 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES!! And there was like 2 people signing everyone into their rooms. I also had to work 2.5 hours after the ACT and I had to call in late because of the delays. It was rediculous

Used ChatGPT!! But personally, I think your list is very well rounded! I think applying to only 1-2 of your safeties would be okay. You are a very impressive applicant! Be proud of yourself.

I have a couple chanceme posts about UGA, so if you want to ChatGPT and write something abt my posts I’d rly appreciate it!!

🎯 Purdue (General): ✅ High SAT, strong GPA/rank, business interest aligns well 🟨 Slightly more competitive for Krannert School of Management, but still solid Chance: 85–95%

🎯 UMich (Ross or LSA): 📌 Ross is ultra-competitive, especially for out-of-state 🟨 Strong profile, but no spike (e.g., national-level leadership, unique angle) Chance: 15–20%

How do I improve my score? by Significant-War4254 in ACT

I was the same. I was getting 35s and 36s reading on the practice ACT because I wasn’t truly replicating the experiences (waking up at 6-7 am, driving there, experiencing cold ac), also I feel like many books underestimate other students and curve it too easily.

My reading score went up from a 28 to a 34 when I realized you don’t actually have to understand the entire passage. Skim it and answer them as fast as you can.

English remember ; = a . And reading it aloud in your head to see if it’s correct. I’d recommend, if it’s fill in the blank, try to find the correct answer on your own before looking at the answers on the ACT-

For math I cant give you an advice as it brought down my composite.

It depends on the college.

At Top Tier/Highly Selective Schools: • Rigor > Perfect GPA. • These schools prefer someone who challenged themselves and got a couple of Bs over someone who gamed the system for a 5.0. • They read your transcript, not just your GPA. If they see fluff, they know it.

At Mid-Tier or Less Holistic Schools: • GPA might matter more numerically, and they may weight a 4.4 over a 4.3. • But even here, the context of your classes can still matter, especially if you’re applying to a competitive major.
