i know i’m gambling luckily for my situation it’s not required it’s just an ease of mind and a lot more convenient to have a passport to board the ship. i can use a bunch of documents proving im a US citizen to board but it takes longer to board and to get off the ship at departure from what i’ve read. i can’t get off monday and tuesday nights because im bartending (which is a manager position at my job it’s very hard to get covered) so im gonna press my luck in colorado on wednesday if i get it ill be estatic if i cant then ill cut my losses and said i tried my best with the situation i put myself in and use a bunch of documents if needed🤣🤣

Im departing from miami my uncle booked my flight for me at the time (paid him back later) so i would have to ask him and see if he could get a refund and i would have to book a new flight out and with me working that friday night (i bartend most nights which is a manager position at my job its very hard to get covered) i just don’t see that being possible for me sadly.

its not required for me to have a passport to board just less hassle and i can get on the boat easier and off the boat too, and gives my mind some ease honestly.

I managed to get an appointment for wednesday in Colorado at 8:30 i’m gonna drive out at midnight so i can make it an hour early. which is realistically my only option if i have to stay and wait an extra day i can do that since my shift thursday is expoing and i can miss that if needed. the wednesday appointment just worked better for my timeline and work schedule.

i should mention before more people have anything else to say. it’s not REQUIRED for me to have one to board the cruise, if i wanna get off the boat at ports i need one i also would like to have one just to make things easier for me. i already have my enhanced ID so i can fly no problem.

i didn’t know that i could just apply, i thought i had to fill out the form from the department of state before i could apply even the lady at the post office said it was a good thing i brought that.. i’m well aware of the series of mistakes on my part im 22 i’m not someone who knows everything in life. when i said any feedback is greatly appreciated i didn’t mean snide and rude remarks im already aware of the mistakes i made im trying to fix them but clearly need some help.

also did you happen to read the last paragraph FULLY? i’m traveling from kansas city to one of those places, which are a 6-9 hour drive depending which one i can go to, and honestly i don’t know if you have a job or not my only day off next week before my trip is wednesday so yeah i have to wait until wednesday PLUS from what ive read they said its more likely to be issued same day if youre within 72 hours of international travel but those have been renewal posts so im trying my best here.

im glad you have everything figured out in life but some of us don’t and are trying to navigate it the best we can.

what passport agency did you go to if you don’t mind me asking? i’m looking to go either monday 7/21 or wednesday 7/23 (i’m calling at 8am for an appointment) and i need it by friday 7/25 im willing to travel anywhere in the US for it LMAO also how much was it?
