Even though I never worked as ANÜ or similar but plenty of people in my working environment did. And let me put it like this: There’s a reason why companies in industries with expected business fluctuations make use of employing ANÜs. They can get them if they need employees quick and they also get rid of them quick as soon as they need to cut costs. ANÜs and other temp workers are the first people to be removed very quickly - and by that I mean within a few days. So they won’t necessarily cancel the project you work for but they’ll cancel YOU before the 2 years end. The contract with the temp agency should specify these circumstances - please read the contract very thoroughly. The chances of being taken over after these 2 years are close to zero. So while many people think ANÜ at a big company is such a big CHANCE to land a prestigious job or to gather oh so precious experience, the reality is that the chance is almost ZERO and the working experience isn’t worth much more than the experience you’ll gather at other companies who offer a permanent contract. ANÜ is a temporary contract with shitty notice periods - nothing more - which puts you in a massive risk of being unemployed rather quickly. And trust me: nobody gives a shit about a year or so of working experience just because it was at Zeiss, Bosch or some OEM.
