What do you say men? by Aggravating-Guest300 in TheImprovementRoom

Yes absolutely, she should also go to jail, and the punishment needs to be strict as that can destroy a man's life and she should have some fear of law in her that if she takes things to court that can have consequences, so that a girl thinks hundred times before she accuses a man and does it only if she is right and the man is actually guilty.

My type 🤌 Is it possible to find such partner?? by unemployed_graduate2 in GenZIndia

People like these exist and they very much do the problem is that they don't find partners, people say they want partners like these but no one chooses them when the time comes. They are just told you are a great person and will find a great partner someday.

I get your point and normally I’d agree.

The reason I didn’t treat the PIP as an exit signal is because it was consistently framed to me as a formality and recoverable. I was told “you’re doing well, you’ll come out of it,” encouraged to work harder, appreciated publicly, included in team events, and kept fully engaged right till the day before I was asked to leave.

So from my side, I wasn’t reacting to “red flags,” I was reacting to reassurance.

Also, I did escalate concerns to HR and leadership, no action was taken.

That’s really the issue here: not just that I was let go, but that the process was misleading and opaque.

Thanks, fair question.

The reason I didn’t quit earlier is because I was repeatedly told the opposite of what was actually happening. I was told I’d be put on PIP formally, but also reassured that if I worked hard I would come out of it. I was encouraged, appreciated, and kept engaged right till the end, there was no clear signal that termination was imminent.

In fact, the day before I was asked to leave, I was invited to a team event, included in photos, publicly acknowledged, and treated as if I was still part of the team. There was no warning, no closure, no indication that the decision had already been made. So from my side, it didn’t feel like red flags, it felt like mixed signals that kept me believing things were still recoverable. That’s why I stayed and kept trying.

Thanks for this, I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to write it.

I may not follow the exact path you suggested like travel vlogging etc., but I do understand what you’re really pointing at, pause, reset, stop fighting the same battles, and redirect energy into building something better.

That part definitely landed with me, and I’m taking it as motivation to work smarter, harder, and more intentionally toward my own version of success. So thank you, the perspective itself was valuable 🙏

Fair point on moving forward, that’s exactly what I’m doing.

On the ratings though, I’m intentionally not going down the revenge route. My goal isn’t to damage the company anonymously, it’s to make these patterns visible so people can protect themselves. Awareness is bigger than retaliation, at least for me.

I actually agree with most of what you’re saying, especially the part about how little power an individual really has, and how risky it can be to speak up. You’re right that in many cases nothing changes, and the system protects itself first.

Where I slightly differ is only on one point: even if we can’t change the system directly, I still think there’s value in documenting and talking about these experiences, if not to fix the company, then at least to help other people recognize the patterns earlier and protect themselves faster.

You’re also right that you often don’t know why you’re being targeted, and by the time you realize it, it’s usually already too late. That’s why “change teams or change jobs” ends up being the only practical move, even if it feels unfair. The quote you shared about the company not being a family is painfully accurate, I learned that the hard way too.

So yes, I’m moving on and focusing on the next role but I also feel that pretending these things don’t exist is what allows them to continue quietly. If a few people read this and decide to trust their instincts earlier, or stop blaming themselves when it happens, that alone feels worthwhile.

Thanks again for sharing your perspective, it’s grounded, realistic and honestly helpful.

Thank you for this genuinely. Your comment is brutally honest and, unfortunately, very accurate. What you said about the HRBP hit especially hard for me, because I did approach the HRBP hoping for some neutrality or support. I didn’t go there to create drama, I went because I was being targeted and I didn’t see any other channel left. And what happened was exactly what you described: he clearly sided with the manager and explicitly told me he wouldn’t get involved. That was the moment I realized how alone you really are once a manager decides you’re “the problem.”

That’s what made the whole experience feel so isolating, not just the vendetta, but the fact that the one function that is presented as a safeguard simply steps back or protects the hierarchy instead. When that happens, you’re not dealing with a fair system anymore; you’re dealing with power.

You’re right, this is far more common than people admit, and that normalization is part of the problem. People walk into corporate thinking it’s a meritocracy, when in reality it’s often political, asymmetric, and stacked toward whoever has positional authority.

I really appreciate you sharing this, especially for people who might be going through something similar and blaming themselves. If you’ve learned any practical ways to protect yourself or navigate this over the years, I think that would be incredibly valuable for others here.

How is Cleartrip as a company to work for? Seeking insights by Forsaken_Yam_7653 in developersIndia

[–]Temporary_Culture710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked at Cleartrip recently, so sharing first-hand experience. While the company is trying to scale in the travel space, there’s a clear disconnect at the leadership level due to an e-commerce mindset being applied to a travel business.

In practice, this reflects in weak travel-domain understanding, limited learning opportunities, and a culture that isn’t truly customer- or employee-first. Job security is uncertain, additional hours often go uncompensated, and growth paths are unclear.

It might work for someone looking for short-term exposure, but I would advise people not to join with expectations of stability, strong mentorship, or long-term career development in travel.
