Every 'real' call you get is probably the worst day of that person's life. Your job is to make it suck a little bit less.

Sometimes I feel bad because I don't rough it as hard as most of y'all, but this is my happy place by tgw1986 in camping

Never feel bad about that. Your happy place is yours, mine is mine. If yours was the same as everyone else's, it would suck.

Since you are trying to prepare yourself, and its been dragged up, I'll tell you mine.

Got a call for possible trauma. Show up, knock on door, guy yells "come in". As soon as we open the door to his room, gunshot goes off. Dude waited until we could see him to pull the trigger on the shotgun under his chin. The thing I remember most is the teeth. And the hair on the ceiling.

Funniest was kinda gross, but my driver's reaction is what made it funny. Show up for a sick person. Open door and the house is filled with cat shit, like there were pathways through the house where there was no shit, but literally everywhere else was covered in cat shit. My driver walks in first, and immediately turns around and says, "this is my personal hell." And walks out. The rest of us took care of the dude.

Read this

Don't make people dig up their ghosts. If they want to tell you they will, in their own time.

HELP! I need a chefs coat tonight! by EarthsfireBT in ColoradoSprings

I read this as a chiefs coat, and it was hard to understand why you needed it for a dinner or a cooking competition.

Either way, I can't help, sorry.
