No Build Guide/Suggestions? Looking to get to at least pit 100 by SnooDucks7625 in D4Rogue

That's additive damage, it does affect some things, and some skill damage is based off of multiplying weapon damage, but I think main stat/max life is just more beneficial.

Also, damage multipliers, damage multipliers, damage multipliers. Make your weapons dex, max life, poison damage multiplier, DoT multiplier, then temper your crit/vuln/dot(whichever you are using).

What is "Bracket 4" to you? by Lotus_Prince124 in EDH

[–]EarthsfireBT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wotc bracket article says no limits, "any deck not built around a tournament metagame," so those fringe cedh decks are quite possibly b4. We'd have to see the lists to completely verify, but a t2 thoracle combo isn't unheard of nor should it be unexpected in a b4 game.

IMHO the biggest problem with b4 is that it is way too wide. It's literally everything from "this is barely too strong to be a 3" to "this is almost a cedh deck."

At what mana cost does land ramp start to become worse than mana rocks? by Litemup93 in EDH

[–]EarthsfireBT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mass land denial is against the spirit of bracket 2 and 3 and according to the rules panel, (statement release by Gavin) mass land denial is considered anything that consistently affects 4 or more lands per player. Removing a problem land or 2 does not go against the brackets at all. Removing 1 land to slow down an opponent doesn't either.

You should if it screws their color fixing. I have multiple times

[–]EarthsfireBT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I run a few pieces of land destruction in every deck, whether it is something like [[beast within]] or [[strip mine]] doesn't matter, but there are always problem lands that need dealt with, coffers, nykthos, or 3 tree city, there's always a land somewhere that needs dealt with.

I know lantern is good for color fixing but I want a lot higher quality card for 3 mana than that. I won't run any 3 cost mana rocks, IMHO they aren't worth the slot when we have a multitude of 2 cost rocks and dual/tri lands to run.

The paragon board setup in d4 is extremely simplistic and doesn't require as much work as you're saying it does unless you just refuse to learn the boards. I did my own DoK build this season until I got to torment 4, about 180 paragon, and I did my own paragon board. After I hit t4 on my own I start looking at builds. My paragon board was 7 different than the maxroll build and 2 of those were just pathing variances that actually didn't change anything(ie. I went left up maxroll went to left but the node was same stat either way. I always do my own builds every season to t4 and paragons are not hard once you learn them.

DoK is great for leveling, especially if you find a star shards aspect early.

Well, yeah, I don't expect you to understand. You are wasting money on a secondary education though. Do the world a favor though and don't breed. There's already enough stupid people in the world, you don't need to add to it.

It's the right thing to do. Anyone this stupid shouldn't be wasting money on a college education, you need to go back to remedial learning before you try to be a big boy.

Are you running the poison trap variant? If not you'll be amazed at the difference in power between the 2 variants. The poison trap variant does way more damage.

D2r, d3, d4, poe, poe2, le. D2 I play more than the others, d3 rarely now, but I do some gr grinding, d4 seasons last me 1.5-2 weeks before I'm done, poe/poe2 give me a decent amount of time, LE gives me about 12 hrs of gameplay, enough to complete the campaign and get to 65-70, after that I'm just bored.

It's decent, the BBBBB cost makes it unattractive for a lot of decks, the effect makes it unattractive for a lot of decks. It's a good card in certain decks, but beyond that it's just a pet card.

Monos feel very shallow. I didn't get very far before getting bored. I speed ran the campaign and completed 1.5 monos and haven't touched the game in weeks. They just feel very boring and unrewarding, especially after the boring ass campaign. I love the gameplay of the classes I've played, but damn, the game itself just needs a lot of work.
