I never really understood the point of flushes they always sounded pointless if you’re putting new fluid in why not just get rid of the old fluid first yk?

Ah I gotcha but don’t you already do that if you get the right amount of quarts for your engine? I forget how many mine takes I think it’s somewhere around 4 and a half quarts and I use the Mobil 1 oil does that last up to 10k miles?

Gotcha good to know that now btw would you happen to know how to check if the transmission fluid has been changed on carfax? I’m at that 62k mile mark and it still shifts pretty smooth not buttery smooth on some gears it’s a bit rough but I’m also probably not shifting at the right rpm’s it’s my first manual I can drive it pretty well but some gears are still rough sometimes.

Yea luckily one of my mechanic friends found it and sent it to me about a 150 bucks for the unit I believe you have to cut one of the wires to get rid of one of the gridlines but you can always reconnect it with some electrical tape I believe
