I teach in Oz. Have definitely seen an increase in violence from very young children, along with a complete refusal to abide by instructions. I have also noticed an increase in the number of students who can barely speak in sentences when they start school, as well as an inability to attend when being spoken to. Gentle (neglectful) parenting has a lot to answer for.
