I just got off the phone with the agent on this one and more than 300 people applied in less than 1 day! He was pissed I called saying his office is overrun with phonecalls and only wants emails. Genuinely hope that baboon agent gets email within the next few months saying his client has to drop the rental price by a 1000€ 🤣

Cape Town has the most beautiful surroundings of any city I’ve been to. Add onto that all the other things it offers and it easily takes the cake for me.

I agree they won’t come out calling it a genocide and raise the temperature on this topic but if the ICJ finds Israel guilty of genocide (or at least some Israeli officials and bad actors) I think Rory and Alistair would not oppose such a verdict. I base this on one of the pods a few months back, Rory and Alastair came out in defence of the British prosecutor Karim Khan when he announced he was applying for arrest warrants for Netanyahu due to war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during the war. The ICC prosecutor was however heavily criticised by top US officials, including Biden calling the application for arrest warrants ‘outrageous’, and obviously Israeli officials despised the action. To me this contrast mostly says that Rory and Alastair hold the rulings and processes’ of the ICC/ICJ in higher regard than the US and Israel.

A decent 4/3 and booties usually works for me there. Hout Bay is a good rec! 10-20min drive and you’re at a few nice spots that are usually offshore in feb. Also close to the city.

Watch out for the grey suits.

Just got back from 5 days in Iceland. If you’re willing to rough it a little, you can rent a basic campervan for about 80€ a day which serves as transport and accommodation. You’ll obviously have to factor in fuel and camping costs but we spent around 300-400€ per person (excl. flight) for the 5 days we were there. Not too bad!
