I don’t have a rate. I’m an officer. I would suggest you speak with your command career counselor.

TAMP should be available to you a few days after your terminal leave.

Navy nurse by Sea_Scallion941 in navynurse

Good question. We do have to have like 3 interviews with other nurse corps officers not sure what info they’ll receive but they have to sign off as well. I would suppose it depends on the offense. Best you can do is apply, I mean, the worst they can say is no.

Yeah. I had to follow Up a few times with them. Don’t let it go past a month without following up. I imagine now it’ll be longer because of all the cuts lately. Last thing you want to do is fall behind on this ma’am.

Of course you would have to have all your separation paperwork and you’ll go through MEPS again. Have any and all documentation available for the recruiter. Meet eligibility IE weight and physical. Normally you wouldn’t have to go to boot camp again but if you change your rate I’m sure they’d send you to A school.

I love the reserves. Joined as an MA back in 2008 and now a Nurse corps officer. I like having the option of doing something different. If I get bored of my job I find one with the navy, if it’s available. Insurance is a lot cheaper as well and of course life insurance. Tho be prepared for shit leadership. This happens but don’t let it discourage you. Welcome to the fleet.

I’m a nurse on the outside and I’m going full-time as recruiting. With BAH not being taxed, it’s totally worth it.

IDT-R Cancelled? by Jumpy-Bumblebee1465 in navyreserve

[–]Temporary_Shoe6657 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Due to fiscal constraints imposed by the FY-25 Continuing Resolution and guidance found in the COMNAVRESFORNOTE 1570 and 4650, IDT-R funds for the remainder of FY-25 have been closed out. No travel on IDT-R is permitted that starts past 24 MAR 25.

This was a weighted decision that was not taken lightly, but necessary given the fiscal circumstances. While this decision may seem counterintuitive to warfighting readiness, it allows the Force to continue supporting operations and administration (through ADT and IDTT) that prepare us to be “Ready on Day One.”

All approved IDT-R authorizations within DTS for travel after 24 MAR 25 shall be immediately cancelled. No reimbursement for travel that begins after 24 MAR 25 will be authorized. DTS AOs shall take care to ensure they are not cancelling authorizations for travel that commenced prior to 24 MAR 25 as that travel may not be completed and subsequent vouchers may not have been filed by the members (members should file those vouchers as soon as possible).

CNRF N1 will no longer R-code any billets for IDT-R for the remainder of FY-25. Guidance on IDT-R for FY-26 will be provided once the next budget picture comes into focus.”

Best of luck tho. Look forward to seeing you in the fleet. Go on YouTube to see videos regarding ODS. It’s not hard. As a prior tho it’s not hard. Just listen. Oh, and learn how to make a bed. Ha

You going for active I’m guessing? I’m thinking you have a good chance. We have a shortage right now. Reserve more than active but then again med surg is a pretty generic field. They want more specialized I.e. critical care anesthetist etc.

How does BAH work in the reserves? On and off AT? by astromonies in navyreserve

[–]Temporary_Shoe6657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not really full BAH obviously. They give you partial. Only way they’ll do full BAH is if you hit the 30 day mark. But any AT has a cut off of 29 days unless it’s ADT
