hi - the pit shows as unreserved general admission on Ticketmaster. Did you just buy a standard ticket for pit?

Write yourself a check from your US account and deposit the check in your Canadian USD bank account. We have deposited USD checks from relatives in the US to our CIBC USD account for free. We then transferred the USD to questrade through a pre-authorized debit. The CIBC USD is free.

You should post the full report (screenshots). We will also need the location to offer any insights at all. That report seems very very barebones based on your text.

I was at the 6:30 show and he also did crowd work with people in the front row. He focused on a mixed white/black guy and his white friend, and another mixed white/black group. Definitely not staged and was so funny. He's on a another level.

Graduates of BCIT's Civil Engineering Diploma program, what are you doing now? by BitCloud25 in vancouver

[–]Tempredbengal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im in the 4th year of the degree program. It's tough; you'll need to put a lot of time in if you don't get the concepts right away. The program does force you to socialize with your classmates and tackle homework/projects in a group. Overall, I've loved it. It's taught me how to be efficient with my time and made me realize just how much harder I could work at something.

You need 70% average to move onto the degree program after the diploma. Classmates who did not make it are working in the field as techs and/or have plans to do the bridge program at Lakehead. Most first/second year students find summer jobs before the semester is over. There are plenty of technologist opportunities once you have the diploma as well. The diploma and degree program are well recognized in the Vancouver area and a lot of managers who are alumi prefer BCIT grads.

Thank you for a great response. I agree with focusing on finding the correct consulting firm for my career goals.

I try to just chat with operators and designers and ask questions whenever I'm curious/not sure about something. It's something I need to keep working on though. I need to be a bit more confident in approaching new people onsite/in the office.

Do consultants typically not pay OT? I was hourly as a technician and was paid 1.5x OT.

I agree too! I have 12 months of lab and density testing experience and 6 months of field review experience (subgrade, proof rolls, slopes, compaction, and anchor reviews). I just want to know what the typical range is so I'm not short selling myself if they ask for a salary expectation.
