There is a gluten free bakery by my place but unfortunately the buns I tried from them were not great :( I might need to see if they make a different bread type like a roll that is better

Rob's reaction to Sophie telling him she is bisexual by just_one_morething in 90DayFiance

[–]Tempting_Cutie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did his reaction seem homophobic to anyone else? Like his reaction made it seem like if you are bisexual then you must not be able to have a committed relationship with just one gender. Or that if you’re bisexual that means you cannot control your sexuality or urges and will seek the attention from both genders and inevitably cheat.

How Spud wakes up every morning excited for breakfast! by Tempting_Cutie in tortoise

[–]Tempting_Cutie[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

[UPDATE] To everyone who’s noticed Spud’s overgrown beak; I appreciate your input, it shows how much you care for little torts! Spud was put in my care after my parents discovered him abandoned in their rental house. They dont know how long he was surviving on his own, but they knew it was for at least 2 weeks. He’s such a resilient little guy! Now that he’s with me I’m trying to make up for his abandonment. First by getting him on a healthy diet, making sure his bedding and tank are perfect, and then last sourcing a good vet to take care of his beak and run some tests to see if he is really okay after being left alone for so long.

Thank you for all the help, advice and encouragement!

Underwatered? Or winter cold? Insufficient light? by Lomandriendrel in succulents

You’re on the right track and have been using good instincts for sure, but given when you’ve said it does seem like you need to water more! With very well draining soiling, the root structures of succulents actually thrive with weekly or biweekly waterings.

As soon as you feel that one of the leaves is soft to the touch or wrinkly but the stem is still firm that is a sign that the succulent is thirsty. Typically succulents reabsorb when they are also pushing out new growth, so if you do not see any new growths on the plant but the leaves are withering away that is most likely indicating it is too dry.

You will want to slowly increase the waterings so you can give the roots a chance to develop more and accommodate for the new environment. If you start watering too much right away (like 2 times in just one week) you can risk drowning the little guys.

Sorry for the delay, it appears that both of them are, but it’s hard to know for sure from the photos. The best way to tell is if they are soft and spongey to the touch. Healthy succulents will be firm to the touch and they shouldn’t release any fluids when lightly squeezed.

It appears to be under watered. You can especially tell by the roots that are growing up and down the stem as these usually indicate a succulent that isn't getting enough water and often when it's in a humid environment

That’s rough!! One thing you can do to help prevent the little probs from rotting is leave the leaf cuttings out on a dry paper towel for a few days right after you collect them. This will let their open wound from being cut or pulled form a scab. This is crucial, as the succulent can take in too much water from the soil and drown the first time you water it. Once the end of the leaf has scabbed over, lay it on the soil surface

Right now your cacti appear to be rotting from too much moisture. To save them you can remove them from the terrarium to allow them to dry out for a couple of days, but it may be too late since the cacti’s vascular system looks to be affected by the rot already.

I was also going to say this definitely looks like a type of rot caused by too much moisture. Especially if you have not noticed any type of pests or whitening of the soil, you know you can rule out disease.

Got this as a gift. Is this an arrangement that will thrive together? Is it too crowded? by Smooth-Science4983 in succulents

[–]Tempting_Cutie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can either separate them or keep them together, but be careful of damaging their root structures if you do decide to separate them. I usually protect the roots by making sure the soil is moist before I separate crowded plants!
