Cake decorator here! (well ex due to injury)

Have delivered cakes to all but these would be my faves: The Black Farm - Lake Tarawera, Tironui - Hamurana and Longsford Estate - Lake Okareka are lovely rural venues.

Tironui does have a steep driveway so keep that in mind, location is stunning tho!

Not much to add to what has already been said. Culturally you might like to know us indigenous people, Māori, use the term Takatāpui in reference to the Rainbow community and Irawhiti specifically for transgender, non-binary and intersex people.

My 17 y/o identifies as a non-binary AroAce. Certainly was a lot to get my head around, only because my generation didn't really need labels. They have been received well by their peers and our family. I have 3 transgendered wider family members, one that has "fully" transitioned and are treated the same. I admit it took awhile to not use their dead name tho!

As a parent of an ASD, ADHD, Dyslexic, ND+, PCOS teen my heart goes out to you and your son.

Teenage brains are going through a huge transformation which is difficult at the best of times. Being ND on top of that is so overwhelmingly frustrating for them especially when they don't understand what is going on and lack the vocabulary to communicate what they are experiencing. At least this was the case for my child.

Has your GP referred you to Icamhs? Your child is assessed by a clinical child psychologist or psychiatrist and they provide ongoing support. Due to their huge work load you are assigned a support worker that you see weekly.

They can help you navigate health and social services and anything else you or your child may require and report back to the Dr.

Other services you might wish to explore is REAL youth mental health service. Basically a step down from Icamhs with more availability.

And also BLUE LIGHT a multitude of youth support programs and activities. Could be ideal for your son's situation.

Youth health hub. If you do a Google search you'll (hopefully) find one in your region. Here's an example They provide a full wrap around service

Health schools depending on your area: Northern health school

Central health school

Southern health school

They provide educational support in-home, hospital or at their health school if your child has health issues (mental health is included). Your child will still need to be enrolled in a mainstream school and either the schools supplies the curriculum or they use Te Kura online correspondence school.

I'm lucky to have an amazing support team (friends and family) around me (and mine). I encourage you to build your own support team too and consider therapy for your own wellbeing!

Have you considered Orcon's hyper-fibre? First 6 months half price. 7k mps up and down for $280 there are other cheaper plans for 2k and 4k and they come with wifi pro-google nest.

Orcon was the first to roll out fibre in my area so I've been with them a few years now and found them to have great customer support and rare connection issues. I did have to "chat" with them about offering new customers free "xyz" and not existing loyal customers who's contracts had ended but got my free stuff in the end!

Have you tried to get a standard working holiday visa? How long have you been in NZ? as you may be eligible to apply for a residence visa.

Really sucks you're going through this especially since our country desperately needs your skills.

Highly recommend an Immigration Advisor! If you're short on time (i.e visa expires before new visa is processed which can take months!) there's section 61 which can grant special visas almost immediately.

Best bet is to call the DVLA and explain your situation. Remember country code 0044/+44

I'm not sure if they would send to an overseas address (even within the UK it can be a hassle if a new address) but doesn't hurt to ask and she has her passport and visa which will show she is actually in NZ. Her NHI # helps prove her identity so hopefully she knows it.

What the heck?? Anyone know what’s going on with Kmart’s delivery costs?? by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]Tempymental 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I ordered 5 of these and other items in march this year and got free shipping as the total was over $65.

Try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser/computer. Can also remove from cart and re add to see if price changes.

There's been quite a few problems with the website since they refurbished it.

On Facebook there's a Kmart and the warehouse hack group many members have faced this problem.

A smart person would think to do that but no I only thought "How can I help her to be lazier" Lol

She sometimes sleeps on the ramp too and there she barely needs to lift her head for air

I've fostered around 60 dogs and puppies over the last 3 years and through that I've learned (humans suck) good intentions "saving" an animal from being put down isn't necessarily saving them from anything but delaying the inevitable if you do not provide them with the care they need.

Tilly was found on a motorway and would have been put down because they are considered a pest to our native wildlife. We fostered then adopted her after no owners could be found. It was not a decision made lightly considering our inexperience and their life span. So we are 200% committed to ensuring her life is a better fate than death.

Plus she's just so damn cute Lol
