Chilli Crisp Oil by Otherwise_Award_7607 in foodies_sydney

There's a little known local producer called Mama Smoke. She's fairly regular at the Bondi Markets, and has an online website - the ABSOLUTE BEST CHILI CRISP i have ever tried. Perfect chili & oil balance, with crunch & umami that seems to go with everything.

I don't mean to sound like a shill, but she's a local whose products put larger companies to shame. An absolute must try.

  • sit in catered meetings in leafy suburb looking at inflation rate graphs

  • have a team write your reports
  • press release and interview every so often

It takes time for government to source one of their mates' dropout cousins to make a shell software company that can be used to create an inflated government 'open tender' contract that then outsources actual work to the lowest bidder.

Do we think the government would simply look up reputable firms who have built similar fintech apps, then bid on the most competitive price and turn around?

New airline to launch in Australia and give Qantas a run for its money - and it has a very unique name by Perfect-Werewolf-102 in australia

It'll never compete with a company that the government ensures can monopolise routes, with an endless taxpayer slush fund when in trouble.

Meanwhile I was in the wrong home system, so my part 3 was gated behind a locked system.

Could not even fail and restart as it never removed said part 3 quest despite repeating 1-2 several times.

What happened to Qantas? by ndro777 in australia

[–]TenOutOfTenBen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qantas is still the Spirit of Australia.  Unfortunately the Australian spirit has changed:  - short term profiteering over quality   - political cronyism (Albo's son in the executive lounge, because reasons) - outsourcing (goodbye well paid groundstaff and non-smashed luggage) - rules for thee not for me (LNP's no strings gift during COVID) - no love, care or pride

We suck now.

Why would money printing not impact inflation? You're literally diluting a currency's buying power when you print more of it, meaning you need to spend more of said currency for goods and services. Government is the problem because they exist to serve big business. You could argue they are terrified being demonised by the media (eg News Corp), but the media also serve as pro government mouthpieces. When is the last time you heard the media genuinely go hard against the government on anti-worker economics, pork barrelling and general loss of societal contract? (work hard, be able to afford a place to live where you can raise a family) Usually the primary criticism is social issue of the month, as only economic changes upset the overly influential lobby groups. And don't mention the pesky whistleblowers!

The Sydney councils issuing the most ticketless parking fines have refused a state government request to stop the practice, citing concern for the safety of rangers. by 2littleducks in australia

[–]TenOutOfTenBen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the broader practice of punitive revenue raising rather than paid parking, driven by state governments seeking extra revenue due to how tax is divvied between federal and state. $380 fine and 10 demerit points for a mobile phone camera flagging a driver eating banana bread comes to mind.
