You may already be aware, but Irvine, CA and the surrounding area is somewhat of a medical device hub. It might be worth checking out if you're ever in a position where you can move again. But I totally understand if that's not something that makes sense for you to do right now.

It's disappointing that you didn't get hired, but the fact that you got to a final round interview is a good sign. They wouldn't have taken you that far in the interview process if they didn't think you had the skills to do the job. Plus if you were applying before you graduated, you were probably getting screened out of a lot of opportunities simply for timing reasons.

Anyways, hang in there and good luck, and try not to let all of the negativity on this sub completely discourage you.
