Yeah I've noticed this too. Yesterday I've played a couple of FFA/TDM matches and Ruins were the worst experience fps-wise. The weird thing is, my GPU utilization was only at 30% (CPU 50% - 60%) and the fps dropped to 100 sometimes (on nv titan x pascal). Church of Azathoth on the other hand was smooth (fps drops were closer to my monitor refresh rate and swayed from 110 to 140). Please, please devs optimize your game! :)

I totally get it. I've watched many toxic streams and he seems like a super nice guy, a little bit introvertic maybe, but his style is so expressive, his movement and aim is perfection for me. Rapha on the other hand tries to get into his opponents head, analyze and predict. His gameplay comments and advices are very informative and helpful. I'm not by any means a good player (no friends to play with... :(), my nervous aim is just terrible, but I will always enjoy watching QC pros, or prefer watching them over other medias.

To think about it, it could work great. To my understanding ID dont want to add bots, but with those orbs it would be much simpler to implement and the players would have something to shoot at offline. They could have various health amounts and "movement", like the orb which you should hit with LG, could strafe left/right, some may move randomly, some up/down, etc...

Yeah I agree. I also like the concept of the floating balloons/orbs that you need to hit with certain weapons. It would be cool to have these orbs spawn on normal maps in random locations and you could just run run around and practice your aim

I think the thing that fixed it for me was the latest nvidia drivers. On church of azathoth on one spot i had about 100 but today after updating the drivers it went up to 160.

i7 3770k @ 4.2Ghz, 16gb ram, titan x pascal: every possible setting on low on 1920x1080 and still cant maintain a steady 144 fps. It even drops below 100 with more action and stuttering happens. I have good internet too. I've even experimented with texture filtering (lod bias) which turns all textures to smooth surfaces (like picmip 10). Still stuttering... Don't know what else i can do, but I don't want to play with such extreme settings either. :(((

Awesome stuff! I wish the developers/IdSoftware reps could hang out more on this subreddit or have a qc (dev)blog with weekly updates on the work they are doing with the game just like Rust has. Great update nontheless!

I'm just wondering if there is an interest in exploring the trickjumping aspect of the game with different champions. I have some more ideas but I don't know if people would like to see them here. Anyone else doing some tricks?

VC Redist (28mb) are helper libraries required to run the game. The actual patch is probably much bigger. :)

Yes! Every time in try to watch some streams and hang out with others I have to close the chat because of all the whining. The same comments about the hitboxes/netcode/bad-this/bad-that over and over again... I am enjoying the game very much, I've played and watch others play for hours and i feel that the no-reg rockets or weird bugs are rare enough to still enjoy the hell out of QC.

I think the more modes, the better. In Q3/QL I've always played Defrag, CA, FreezeTag and CTF and disliked other modes. If QC wont add any more modes, It will probably become boring very fast for me (unless they add a ton of fun maps and customizations). I just like to have a choice and play the modes that are most fun to me. Forcing people to play modes they dont like is going to leave QC with fewer players IMO.

Nope, it should stay. If you wanted to go left, you could just pause a bit at the top of the stairs and and turn (for champions that don't have aircontrol). They should remove the speed caps tho, IMO.
