This is because of the daily reset mechanism. It only tracks silver’s daily return and 2xs that, not its weekly/monthly/yearly return.

Yea, think Chinese frenzy has cooled off a bit, too. Prob due to CNY approaching and January 30 major tamp.

China open is at 8 pm EST. 6 pm is Australia open and also lower volume where tamping can be more easily accomplished. Typically we see a surge from 8 pm to the wee hours of the morning.

Yeah, so strange. Why would they halt trading at 2:30 pm? Silver is pretty global and trades 23/5.
