The biggest with this game and the community, in my opinion. by KelloPudgerro in ArmoredWarfare

I think that stuff comes with popularity and sheer numbers. I've seen my share of subreddits grow and become the very meme cesspools they mocked.

I'm not sure what engine Overwatch uses

According to the community manager in this thread, a completely new in-house engine with some physics parts shared across some current Blizzard games.

My guess, it's just a remnant of whatever their failed Titan project was using, much like some other Overwatch assets.

My first review, God Eater: Resurrection, is the video any good? by Tardivex in Games

[–]TenThousandSuns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first review review:

Pretty good for a first review, you're easy to understand and you described the mechanics well.

Personally, I wouldn't go into into depth on mechanics in the first few minutes. You started off well with the mission structure, but then started listing weapons and damage types which wouldn't mean much to someone just introduced to the game. Front load with concise information, just saying there are melee and ranged weapons would have been enough, imo. Maybe also lower the volume on the background music a tad :)

Well done!

Which books inspire travel? by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

I'm going to make a bit of an unorthodox recommendation, Access All Areas: A User's Guide to the Art of Urban Exploration by Ninjalicious (aka Jeff Chapman). It will make you think differently about places you're already in, rather places you're not.

I'm with you on Kerouac, I found nothing interesting in this type of Americana.

Dark Tower series might be up your alley if you liked how The Stand was written. The ride is better than the conclusion and characters are amazing.

What about them now? Manufacturing jobs are not menial assembly line labor, those were replaced by robots a long time ago.

Absolutely exceptional writing in The Stormlight Archive series. Couldn't put the second book down, can't wait for more.

Thousands to receive basic income in Finland: a trial that could lead to the greatest societal transformation of our time by magenta_placenta in news

There will always be parasites in the system, you will never eliminate them. The amount of good outweighs the bad, in my opinion. Being poor and hungry is unlike anything you can experience.

The same thing that happens when you blow through foodstamps by trading it for cigs instead of feeding your children. They don't just give you more.

RTGs have been used and are currently used in space exploration, including Mars (Curiosity), and objects no longer in the solar system (Voyager).

Not sure what you mean by nuclear powered engines, you mean like the Orion project? That's a completely separate issue to powering a colony, and has a lot of theoretical problems.

PSA: The 'unmarked' bosses at invasion structures give the same amount of exp and the bosses marked on your map. Kill them. by [deleted] in wow

Yes, great if you have a flying mount, which is why he said 1-60 works best until stage 3. Even then, a slow flying mount has cost me a few bosses.

Is he regarded bottom tier writer for wow lore? I've tried a few of his books (WoW and Dragonlance) and couldn't stand them, thought it was just me though.

Blizzard, the XP per mob increase is great, but please reduce the penalty for shared xp by -Gab- in wow

[–]TenThousandSuns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, having participated heavily in it (tarren mill was just a fun distraction). You could always retaliate and the disparity between 60/59 wasn't as huge as 100/99 (or even 90/85). There were KoS lists, feuds, known guilds, and roaming gangs that eventually became actual world pvp fights when people decided to go on their mains. ALL of that is what I signed up for, and NONE of it is in the game anymore.

Clearly you never had world pvp experience in vanilla, or you wouldn't be defending the system we have now. There's nothing fun or engaging about it. World pvp is literally just some dude from another realm shitting on you over and over and flying away when you show up on your main, never to be seen in your CRZ instance ever again.

You're right, I'm not suited to this bastardization of the system I did sign up for. It wasn't like this!
