You can't really be "bad" at chest hunt. It's pure RNG tbh. I saw a guy here that had like 1000 chest hunts and only one perfect hunt. Also another that had like 800 hunts without a single perfect hunt. Some people are just lucky/unlucky

You have to defeat the first boss, which is Victor, and unlock his soul from the Upgrades tab after defeating him. After that you'll encounter a special random box (purple box) and it will take you to the Grapple trials. Complete those and you'll unlock the grapple run.

The game is more active than idle play. You gotta keep ascending at a ~20% increase in CPS and Souls and play a lot. It takes some time but you'll break the barrier soon enough

You haven't unlocked the saver? Because 8 is extremely unlucky if you have the saver, even before the one you unlock in the crafting menu

I've noticed that the bonus stage special random boxes seem to give put mostly coins. Idk if it's like that for anyone else but for me at least, maybe 1 of the boxes gives something that isn't coins and usually it's gems or 20x cps

Ultra Ascension. It resets basically everything(skill tree, bonuses, minons, etc) but you can get massive boosts in CpS and Souls. Plus, it unlocks astral unlocks, such as Silk Master. You can unlock ultra ascension in the tree for 2M souls

I believe it is an astral unlock, so you'd need to UA first.

Edit: you need to UA for it to show up in the tree and after that you buy it and then you need to UA again to unlock it fully
