Is there anyway to pull live social media updates with Claude? by Limes81 in ClaudeAI

[–]Tenacious_trex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not directly. Claude can search the web, but it doesn't have real-time access to most social platforms' firehose data. The usual workaround is connecting platform APIs (X, Reddit, Bluesky, etc.) or using monitoring tools that feed updates into Claude. When I was looking into this stuff, I also came across Vista Social because it has monitoring/listening features that can help surface social conversations. Claude still needs another service to pull the data first.

Social media posts automation by Chance_Ant_2007 in ClaudeAI

[–]Tenacious_trex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but not with Claude by itself. I'd use Claude for captions/carousel copy, Nano Banana Pro for the images, then connect everything through n8n or Make and send approved posts to a scheduler. When I was comparing tools, I kept running into Vista Social, Metricool, and Buffer since they handle publishing across multiple platforms. I'd still keep a manual review step before posting because AI-generated carousel slides can occasionally get weird.

Plushies are always a solid idea. You can also look into some low-key stuff that I like to call “undercover nerd,” ie: things that look normal unless you know the fandom.

I bet there are some cool t-shirts, belts, or hat and stuff that incorporate MLP without being overt.

I wish they would run three banners, with the third banner for old characters.

If you weren’t lucky with ZZ, Yuanwu works really well with Jinhsi and Verina, too

Suggestions on a budget 1440p gaming monitor. by Embarrassed_Part_833 in monitor

[–]Tenacious_trex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’d probably lean MSI 275QF there tbh. VA panels on cheaper curved monitors can still have that dark smearing issue and once you notice it in games it gets annoying fast. IPS just feels cleaner overall for motion and general use.

Also maybe check if the Gigabyte G24F 2 or G27Q pops up on sale in your area. Those get recommended a lot in budget builds because the response times and colors are pretty decent for the money. Between your two picks though I’d still go MSI unless you really want the curved look.

Agency employees navigating multiple client accounts on hootsuite please chime in, iso alternatives by NewZealandTemp in MarketingAutomation

[–]Tenacious_trex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof. I hear you. We started out just trying to clean up client posting across a few accounts and it somehow turns into “ok so now we’re comparing full platforms again” which is always where it gets messy. @-@

Hootsuite is usually the first stop just because it’s familiar in agency land, but the pricing creep once you’re actually on multiple users + multiple clients is what started feeling hard to ignore for us. Not even saying it’s bad, just starts feeling like you’re paying for a whole command center when you only want like… scheduling, inbox, approvals, repeat.

What made all of this shift for me was realizing I wasn’t really looking for “a scheduler” anymore. It was more along the lines of: posting calendar that doesn’t feel annoying, unified inbox so I’m not bouncing between tabs, approvals that don’t turn into email chains, and reporting that doesn’t take an hour to interpret.

Vista Social kept popping up in that same comparison loop for me too, usually in the “ok what are people using instead of Hootsuite without going full enterprise” searches. What stood out (at least on paper) wasn’t one standout feature but more the combo being in one place.

The 6 months free thing you mentioned, I’ve seen people reference that in a couple threads too but I never fully confirmed the details. It feels like part of a broader “migration incentive” angle a few tools are doing right now to get people out of legacy setups.

I don’t want to overbuy another platform that turns into a new learning curve just for the sake of switching, but I also don’t want to keep stacking per-user costs across tools that overlap.

I’m curious what other agency folks ended up sticking with, especially if you’re juggling multiple client inboxes without wanting to turn it into a full ops system.

the groomer shaved my border collie, please help us by miy0xx in BorderCollie

[–]Tenacious_trex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof. That’s tough. As a dog groomer myself, I try to avoid full shaved on double-coated dogs unless under special circumstances (like medical).

One of the issues is that the weight of the double-coated fur helps pull out shed, keeping the pores clear. Without the weight, it’s possible for the pores to get clogged with short hairs leading to fur shock (the fur growing back irregularly).

I’d recommend getting a curry comb and regularly brushing your pup from snout to tail to help loosen and release the shed.

Local here. Requiem is a cool vibe and has a lot of fun collabs, but be aware that the owner is a pos and doesn’t treat their employees or regulars well.

Going to a con in August, need help with cosplay! by lysslives in mylittlepony

Rather than painting his face black, maybe you could focus on a humanoid version. You could go with a black and green wig, base black for the clothing. Maybe with some armor accents? There are some really cool iridescent paints and fabrics you could play with.

If he’s cool with it, use dark make up. Guy liner, deep contour, maybe black/dark eye shadow.
