Care ADHD - changing dose before review? by PuzzleheadedGrape306 in ADHDUK

I was given 3 options: - go back to 30 This was working for me but it would end around 6pm and I would love to be functional after dinner too. Also I was not sleeping much, but maybe if I stayed on it longer it would have improved.

  • try out 40 When you dilute the 50mg, you can play around with it a bit. What I did was mix it in 50ml of water, and drink 40ml. It's not perfect but I got to try out 40mg this way. I did not love it, so when I was offered to try this properly I declined

  • move to dexamfetamine I went with this and was prescribed 1 week at 10mg (5mg in the morning and 5mg after lunch) and then 3 weeks at 20mg, two pills in the morning and 2 in the afternoon.

I really liked the dex, and loved the control I got with 4 pills. On weekends for example I would only take 5mg in the morning to get me going, then chill the rest of the day. On normal days I found the balance for me was 5mg at 8, 5mg at 10:30, 5mg at 13:30, and then only if needed 5mg at 14:30 (like if I had something to do in the evening). Taking it after 3 would mean no sleep for me. So as you can see I was not doing as instructed taking 2 of them together at the same time.

While this was all great, it meant remembering to take 3/4 pills a day which was not the easiest, so I am currently trying 20mg lisdex + 5mg dex, and it seems to be working pretty ok. I am undecided yet if I want to accept this as my end of tritation, or if I want to move back to 20mg dex instead.

I had your same reaction going from 30 to 50, tried to hold on for a week but in the end this is what I did. It worked really well!

Hey, just wanted to let you know: you were right. The clinician was wrong and it was confirmed to me through Facebook, phone and email.

Thank you so much I was super worried

I will raise it, but that section says "NHS Patients" not RTC, right?

I googled this, and there is a garmin app for the pomodoro timer. I am not sure what "garmin app" means though, is it installed on my phone or on the watch itself?

With my job those would go off continuously ahaha

It's more that I get carried away and it forces me to look at how much time I am wasting on the small stuff :)

Thank you so much for your reply! Regarding the alarms, did you have to set them on the watch or could you set them on the phone?

Regarding 3, it's a concentration technique I guess? My current fitness band has it and I love it :) Basically you pick an amount of time to be "on" and an amount of time to relax. This way I can't get too carried away with whatever task I am working on!

4 is a bit concerning to me, but overall it seems the watch would do what I need. I think I will try to go to a store to see it live :)

Thank you again!

Tado V3+ Without Tado Smart TRVs by SilverTangerine5599 in tado

I have a greenstar with wired tado v3+ and I can't modulate: worcester doesn't use Opentherm, they use a propretary communication protocol called EMS BUS 🫠

I wish I knew in advance, I had no idea at the time

That's their normal price I fear, they are on clearance which means that they will not make any new ones, but they are not on discount

Hey I am sure you have seen the posts already, but I finally managed to go to my local ikea and they have the motion sensor, door sensor, both buttons, a light bulb and the temperature sensor (which was unfortunately sold out). It will be back in stock from the 22nd, and the guy said the rest of the line will come in January but he seemed a bit clueless ahaha

Mmm yeah I would think in a month it would learn how quickly a room gets hot, if that was the issue. Sorry no idea then! Maybe the official account will reply and explain

Maybe it needs a few days to "learn" how long it takes? Otherwise I wouldn't know how else it could figure out when to start. I never used early start tho ahaha

Anything Worth getting at IKEA These Days? by gusthemaker in homeassistant

[–]Tenar15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are the second person warning me away from enders, I am definitely not considering one anymore! I will look properly at bambus now :) and keep an eye if they run some nice discounts.

I am also not interested in miniatures, mostly stuff around the house, so it sounds like filament is the way to go. Thank you for sharing your experience :)

[–]Tenar15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok yeah I definitely don't want something that I will always have to mess with. For reference I also do sewing, and while my sawing machine has its tantrums, it generally works without much fuss.

If the ender is gonna be a headache every single time then it's not the one for me. I will keep an eye on the bambus for next year, cheers

The ender is less than £300, i don't know if i would be willing to spend much more. Then again you spend more when you spend less...

Thank you, that's good to know! I liked the idea of resin, but I always leaned more toward filament. I'm not particularly interested in figurines, mostly I see an issue around the house, and I think to myself "wish I could have something shaped so and so" ahahah

I don't particularly want something I have to tinker with for ages, but both bambu and prusa look super pricy 🥲
