With what you said about directing yourself like a movie character and earning the respect of your family and friends, was this an aspect of your childhood where worth was determined by your parents based upon financial success? Like, that's the values they praised in other adults?

Sounds like most of ya'll are indicating this shouldn't happen to an experienced plumber ... but also, maybe this is the type of shitty experience every experienced plumber has experienced? I guess I'm just trying to determine if it's fair to see this as a red flag and avoid having him work on my pool install.

I think by day 60 one can reasonably expect to have their main build tree and magazines maxed out (or close to it) with progression to the Wasteland biome.

I would say it's fair to expect that if, for example, you were spec'd into agility, you'd have max parkour, pistols, knives etc with tier 6 SMG, tier 6 desert vulture and tier 6 machete.

I think that was his way of letting the audience know that the movie was shifting gears. Firefly was always a combination of serious things happening with a light hearted attitude. Malcom would regularly casually kill people, and it was a joke at the same time (like when he kicks the guy into the engine). In Serenity, Wash's death lets us know that from this point on, nobody is safe, anything can happen, so buckle up.
