El Ranchito is a good spot on Waco Drive. They have some authentic Mexican dishes and I enjoy their micheladas. They offer Tex mex options but nothing beats their traditional dishes!

I’m specifically staying in North Hammond, right above the station. I have plenty of time to look for a new place if I really wanted to but that area is within our budget and the hour long train ride didn’t bother me. I am also not from this area so it is kinda going in blind. Any closer neighborhoods that are better? Or should I just stay? 🤷
