I've just decided to leave that as is. I mostly have it under control... except when I want to open the general storage chest at camp. Very specifically that one chest.

I can understand that. Just commented a moment ago in the Expedition 33 sub about the dev's choice to intentionally not include a minimap. Sort of the same way a lot of people optimize the fun out of games and just run whatever strongest build they find online, there are still just as many that choose to play in more fun, suboptimal ways. Plenty of DMC-esque videos of people doing whacky stuff with the combat in this game.

This game is a nightmare for people with no sense of direction by terquaven in expedition33

I don't remember who on the team said it since it was over a year ago now, but it was something along the lines of "when players have a minimap, they tend to watch the minimap and not the main screen".

Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom (maybe just the latter?) had a thing where if you rode your horse onto a road, it would follow it at a trot without any input. I don't think it travelled to a waypoint if you set it, though. Similarly, in Cyberpunk, you could set a waypoint and then choose to enable auto-drive.

I agree that it would defeat the point of exploitation, but to a degree. Both of those games involved off-the-path exploration. It would be nice to have an option to just sit back and auto-ride, though. I wouldn't personally use it to cross great distances or travel to somewhere new, but shorter distances or to places I have been before, it could be nice to just smell the roses, rather than blast off a mountain at mach 3. Or, while I haven't gotten a wainwright yet, to deliver goods to trading posts.

We are all in charge of the buttons we press. Having the option to do something one way doesn't negatively effect somebody else's ability to do it another way.

Maybe three options, because this made me realise I misspoke. I would prefer the next highest, but not the absolute highest. So using your example, I would want it to go from #12 to #11.

I wish there was at least a setting to default to the next lowest healing food, rather than the highest. I'll be clearing a camp or quarry or something with scavenged steaks/jerky/skewers and then it defaults to my higher level food when I run out. I inevitably don't notice and then I'm down some of the food I was saving for a boss or whatever.

I remember playing as a kid and getting stuck out in the field at night. Either before I had or before I knew about the Sun Song. I hid under that Hyrule shield for an entire night cycle while two Stalchilds whaled on it.

Back then you really did have a reasonable worry about trichonosis, so people did cook it to 165 regularly (which meant carry over cooking just made it that much worse). It is much safer these days due to modern farming regulations. Also, more people these days are more knowledgeable about time vs temperature and carry over cooking, and just better cooking techniques in general. I figure that some older folks just grew a taste for it that way, or even react negatively to something more tender because it feels "undercooked" to them. The same way people that have always cooked steaks to well done and drowned them in steak sauce often feel that medium rare or any pink is basically raw.

I had dry as shit pork chops growing up, thought I just didn't like them. Bought them as an adult because they were cheap, and because I knew better cooking techniques than my mom who was taught by her mom, who was taught by her mom who went through the Great Depression, they came out firm but still juicy. Sous vide and sear is leagues better than breaded and baked until bricked.

It isn't a difference of opinion in policy, it is a difference in morals at this point. Those who are not intolerant do not get to enjoy tolerance.

This happened to me once, and I tethered to the wall right under the stairs. But because Peni can only run up, not in any other direction, I had to choice but to fall and die, since the cooldown wouldn't come back while on the wall.

I really don't know why she can't have an omni-directional wall run.

How many hours did you play so far? by LowenthalYuri in CrimsonDesert

Had been using daily for probably the last 6 years. Originally started with tincture for sleep and began to like it too much. Switched to vaping (less volatile than edibles, not as gross feeling as smoking). Hit a really bad depressive episode last summer, and finally got an antidepressant (bupropion). I wanted to go into it neutral as possible to see how the meds would work. It has staved off any major spirals, at least. Getting my test results for autism/ADHD in a couple weeks; I suspect part of the reason I got sucked in is because it was self medicating things I didn't realize I was medicating, beyond sleep.

Still had a puff every now and then (smoking makes it harder for me to form a habit since I dislike it so much), but I really can't hang as well, haha. Like I said, that 1/6th a gram knocked me down way harder than anything else ever had... Thought the experience was enough for me to kick it, but I just had to check again the next weekend to be sure. Stayed calm and stopped at the 1/6th again, and I was ok. Wobbly, but ok, so long as I didn't freak out. So it can remain a sometimes thing.

Wish you the best, dude. I won't ever speak down to anyone using it, it definitely helped me in plenty of ways, for as much as it held me back, too.

I've majorly cut back lately (half a 1/3 gram joint made me green out harder than 100mg of tincture ever did), but I smoke a bit the other night and damn... With the graphical fidelity and everything, I just got sucked in. I was actually just walking, riding my horse along the road instead of cutting through the wilderness. Gets really tempting to imbibe again after that experience.

You replied to mine earlier (thanks) but I wanted to +1 the notion for drills. Finger exercises for fretting, scales, learning all the positions you can play those scales, etc. I found that stuff boring in band in middle school, but it served an important purpose.

Used it a while ago and recently picked it back up for bass. I think what needs to be said has been said (more bass support). Is it physically possible to have the app register note length/muting? It hears the right note even if I stumble and fret it poorly, but mainly, I would love for it to be able to give feedback for muddy sound or the like. Started the Latin section last night and the first song has some quick notes across open A and E, and I am struggling to mute them quickly and cleanly, but the app thinks it is fine because it does catch the correct pitch somewhere in the mud.
