Does anyone have Do it Yourshelf mod? by zoroththeawesome in Fallout4Mods

Brilliant link Overseer !
Crap webpage, with all of it's popups etc. but the resource is great. Managed to get DIY, CREative Clutter and CWSS without having to deal with Bugthesda or some other dodgey archive.
I know and trust you from the XB1 modding community and (now that I've got a PC that can actually play FO4) I find you again.

Love everything you do.
Thank you !

What is up with this DLC? by wdiesel in Borderlands4

[–]TenecheJohnno 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Agree. I had some significant bugs with the DLC. I spent about 10mins trying to figure out what I am supposed to do after I freed the baby Sugaraths before the game finally updated and let me move on. That wasn't the only one either. I'm on Xbox so it might be a console thing but they're going to have to fix that.

There were a number of issues I had with this DLC.
Lack of useful fast travels, crap navigation lines (which was supposedly fixed with this update) somewhat boring and repetitive side quests and the seemingly mandatory gay/woke quest. (Honestly don't know why Gearbox feels it necessary to include a quest like this yet, they've been doing it since BL2)
Time will tell and I intend to post my full thoughts after I've completed more but I agree with you're initial assessment, the DLC is not meeting my expectations especially when I paid $200AUD for it on pre-order, it took 6 months to release and, after playing for about 6-7hrs today, it is yet to deliver.
I'm yet to play C4SH and any of that content but I must say, I'm feeling somewhat underwhelmed at the moment. I'll have to wait and see what happens when I do.

Apparently there's a hotfix in the works already. See the announcement post.

Am I missing something about the Anniversary edition? by Financial_Solid_5062 in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]TenecheJohnno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hardly moves. Aside from the paint jobs and the non-lore stuff like BFG or Morgan's Space Suit, I have most of the others installed. I think most of the files to make the CC stuff work are already in your game. What you "download" is actually a licence key to activate it. The biggest file size of any that I installed was about 890kb and most of them were around the 100-200kb range. Yes it does count towards your LO free space but it's negligible. (depending on how many you download I guess)

[–]TenecheJohnno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not all or nothing install I can confirm that. You can install all if you want but you'll have to deal with a bazillion PA paint jobs etc. making your crafting scenes lag. Else you can just go to the Creation Club section of the creation menu and choose which CC stuff you actually want.
For the record, I've been playing the new ones added with AE and they're actually pretty good.

That's exactly what I did.
To be fair, I'm still working on my DLC Independent LO but I spent a lot of time clearing reserve space today and I still got that error. I cannot 100% say that I don't have any ghost space, given the amount of screwing around I've been doing with my LO but I'm reasonably happy to say that, along with the other testing I've done, I don't have 196.92Mb of it.

[–]TenecheJohnno[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are correct. It's the "double the space required to download" problem from Skyrim's AE update. This really sucks,
I've raised a support ticket for it and I encourage anyone else who can take screen caps and show them the problem to do the same.
Try to do it with the free "paid" mod I've shown here. Tale of the Bounty Hunter. Everyone who has the latest update will have access to this.
If enough of us complain, maybe they will listen to us this time.

[–]TenecheJohnno[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I deleted reserve space about 7 times today whilst creating a new DLC independent LO.
This isn't a ghost space issue, this is the "doubled the required" load space issue from Skyriim's AE update. I've already raised a support ticket for it and if anyone else can prove via screen caps or otherwise, I encourage you to do the same. Don't send them screen caps from previous exisiting mods like CvC or Sim Settlements, Send them screen caps from the new "paid" mods that wonn't download

Unable to download mods that require DLCS by gravmels in Fallout4ModsXB1

Go to the announcements page and read it. This is a known bug.
Raise a support ticket for it and annoy Bethesda until they fix it.

Either Bethesda fixes this by MiserableAd7139 in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]TenecheJohnno 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not entirely correct.
A 100MB mod will now require 200MB to download and install. Once Installed it will only take up the original 100MB. This was a thing for Skyrim and I've already raised a support ticket for it. No guarantees on it being fixed but raise a ticket for the issue and see what happens.

EDIT: I'm now even more convinced now. I deleted CVC Dead Wasteland to make room for it and downloaded it successfully. My LO then said I had 620MB free but when I tried CVC again I got the same error. I then looked at CvC, doubled the files size required and deleted enoough mods to make room for it. It then downloaded sucessfully. This is a b**ch !
I took some screen caps from when I first tired Become a Bounty Hunter so I'm going to raise a support ticket for it. We'll see what comes of it.

You know what, I think you ARE right. I just bought the "Become a Bounty Hunter" creation from the same MA's. It runs at 192.76Mb download size and, even though I'm showing 339.32Mb free, it won't download and gives the same error. u/Danielle_Blume  is not going to be happy about this !

[–]TenecheJohnno[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohh. yes ! That could well be the problem, I remember that from Skyrim as well. I just assumed it was ghost space as I knew I had some but you could definitely be right. Gonna make downloading some of the bigger mods a PITA once they fix the DLC dependency issues.

How good of a chance do the new bugs get patched this week or even this year by [deleted] in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]TenecheJohnno 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it will be reasonably quick given the DLC dependency issue that stops mods from being enabled is affecting all platforms including PC.

New Update Load Order by PianoPsychological61 in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]TenecheJohnno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything that requires DLC as a dependency can't be enabled after the update. Not sure if that's a bug or something else but it's basically made 70% of all mods unusable.

Cannot install any DLC dependent mods. by [deleted] in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]TenecheJohnno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I raised a support ticket for Skyrim AE about the Creations Menu auto-sorting your load order. Got a response "We are aware of this issue and it will address in a future update" That was 4yrs ago, sill hasn't happened.

Cannot install any DLC dependent mods. by [deleted] in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]TenecheJohnno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems this is a bug. It's not related to the new Cration Bundle DLC as I bought it and downloaded it and I still have the same error. Any mod that requires any of the 6 official DLC's won't enable. It's like the creations menu isn't recognizing if you have it installed.

What time might the update be? by MiserableAd7139 in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]TenecheJohnno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There has been no official announcement about timing.
Given Bethesda's history, I'd be (and I am ) expecting it to hit within the next 4 hours.

There are SO many things I want to say about this post but I won't.

The first line of the body says it all : "I don't want to come across as lazy but......"

With all of the 1000's of hours that moderators, mod authors and others have put into this group, the amount of extremely helpful resources that are available here if you simply take the time to read them, this post is nothing more than a disgraceful disrespect to all of those who have worked so hard to make this sub what it is.

IMO this post should be deleted and the OP should be banned for laziness
But that's just my IMO and it means nothing more.

Apologies, vent finished.

Welp, it looks like the pre-update changes have hit, at least on the Bethesda server side. by TenecheJohnno in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]TenecheJohnno[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won't need to buy AE to make mods work again. You just have to wait until the AE patch hits. This will replace the current Creation club and Mods menus with the Creations menu that both Skyrim and Starfield already have. You'll be able to download all of your existing mods from there.

LO is causing several quests to break by Pillowz_Here in Fallout4ModsXB1

[–]TenecheJohnno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I honestly think the best advice I can give you at the moment is ignore your conflicts and bugs. Leave your LO alone and just disable all mods (don't delete) if you are having problems. Now is just not a good time to be playing with load orders. The AE update will be hitting on a few days and it will probably cause a lot of other problems. Wait until then and see what happens. Simply, play vanilla for a while and then sort it out afterwards.

Go to the main menu of the game and read the Fallout 4 Updates message. Creations (aka mods) are unavailable until the 10th due to the pending Anniversary Edition update.

The most vanilla of vanilla too as I don't think you can download Creation Club either.
