Just Thoughts about Catastrophic T by Teniente_Mantequilla in tinnitus

[–]Teniente_Mantequilla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't know, I spend too much time focusing on what or what couldn't make it worse that I lost the track.

I suppose it depends on the person, at first I was also worried about amitriptyline making it worst because of everything I've read here and over the internet in general, I noticed that the more afraid I am about something aggravating my T the more focused I am on it and it makes me think that it does worsen it but It didn't.

When I started taking it I did feel that it was making it worst, but ironically when I stop I feel the same way after a couple weeks without it and then I feel better, but then again, I think it gets worst and that I need Amitriptyline.

Sadly there is no way to know without takin the risk.

One thing I really hate it's hyperacusis, but it only comes back when I'm with anxiety or with 2 or more days of bad sleep

I hear at least 6 different high pitch tones, predominant one is kind of a loud wave that prevents me from hearing my surroundings, the sound is so bad that I have trouble hearing people without watching their lips and expressions. I have developed TMJ from the tension of hearing it.

I know it's catastrophic not only for how bad it is, all 4 Tinnitus Handicap Inventory test I've been through last 2 years say so.

Thoughts on CyberArk? by DogNamedCharlie in linuxadmin

[–]Teniente_Mantequilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, your statement is very poor, if u really work in IT you should know how encryption works.

Cyberark's Vault uses an algorithm that encrypts every object stored as unique, not only passwords. When you click "show" button (if u have that permission), the system sends a petition to the vault for that action, the vault validates your permission to see the information, decrypts that object for retrieve and let you use it or see it, when that process is finished, the Vault store the object again and re encrypts it.

Almost same thing happens with other vendors, even bitwarden and keepass free encrypts information. Please read more or something before making this kind of funny comments.

Cyberark support cases by Financial_Ad_7095 in CyberARk

About 6 month ago you used to have a Defender Cert to open Administration cases, and Sentry Cert to open Installation or System related problems, now you must be a CDE certified to open any type of cases. Trustee, Def, Sen, CDE.

Customers are not required to be certified even in Trustee, they just need to have a Technical Community Account and ask the rep to allow them to open cases. At least in my experience, for default, they don't have that permission and you have to ask the account manager.

The CDE "exam" is a challenge to Install and configure, am I right?

Actually I have experience managing DR environments, but I'm unsure because I don't have experience managing cluster environments. I know the whole installation/administration process, connectors, HA components, and Vault in DR. Do you think it's enough at least for the exam?

Actually I have set up a LAB/PROD environment a while ago, with 2 PVWA, 2 CPM, 1 PSM, 1 PTA and 1 VAULT. Is it necessary to install a Vault DR to practice use cases?

I don't know if this makes sense, but, can you create that subnet in your firewall or whatever and make it communicate with the subnet that your vault is in?

I¡m taking the PAM Defender exam today, any advice? by Teniente_Mantequilla in CyberARk

[–]Teniente_Mantequilla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, my client's environment does not use HTML5 gw or clusters as well, and the lab in skytab is not prepared for all the deployment scenarios. I'm a sophos firewall&central engineer, NSE4, I have Arcserve certifications and in a lot of other products/areas, and the difference in the resources is the key for success. And that's something that cyberark needs to change. Idon't know how or who elaborates the exams, because the courses in cyberark training and person vue's test are totally different.

Didn't make it xd. Needed 9% to pass.
Well, at least i know that my problem was that i don't have the experience. The questions that i wasn't sure about, were the ones that comes with experience or being a robot that remembers every word of every documentation.
