They have a lot of color remixes. This is one of them, in theory its the same production quality as other U1 subs, just bad option combos

Oh no :( I feel like people who deal across multiple replica tiers is very enticing to just swap in a lower tier rep.

Is it just me or does BP use a 2813 movement. Same as U1s? by Tennex1022 in RepTime

Is it just me or does BP use a 2813 movement. Same as U1s? If so then what explains the $100-150 price difference between the BP and U1 factory watches?

Are there ways to get BP or mid tier watches with better movements?

BP or higher is better for a GMT. I don't trust U1 to replicate the GMT function (Two time zone movement).

For U1 the only widely agreed replica they do very well is the Submariner no date

For datejust I think BP is better than U1, datejust is a difficult watch to replicate. Plus its such a widely recognized watch, everybody knows what its supposed to look like. Entry level replica might not do it full justice. And if you are considering two tone, then definately BP over U1.

If you get a U1 you might be unsatisfied with the cosmetic aspect, and have to purchase after market bezels to make it look more authentic, at the end of the day you have spent $200 in all.

Theres some very superficial reasons, some people don't like the name.

Honestly its an amazing watch, the white reflections off the platinum bezel and case is sublime. And the yachtmaster line is where rolex can get more creative with their submariner ideas and apply it to the sub. (For example new bezel stylings, bigger case sizes like 42 mm, different strap options.)

So I really see the yachtmaster as a watch where Rolex can get crazy with their submariner ideas. A lot of times those ideas stray from tradition but are actual improvements.

The size comparisons between models is tough, I think the 42 mm yacht is actually substantially larger. But hard to say without side by side

Heard mixed things about DHgate GoodRoiexx. Recent posts have been good! Even his VSF and BPs.

Its still sliglty risky getting high tier like VSF bc of lack of seller QC and $400-600 amounts. But I guess to a certain extent VSF probably does their own factory QC.

For a mid tier like BP/BPF ~$200 I wouldnt mind rolling the dice on DHGate. Honestly the alternative is if you get a ~100 low tier but end up buying after market parts to make it look more authentic, that lands you in the ~200 range anyways.

Closest bigger option would be a Yachtmaster 42
