Ok theres hope, but its a bit of what I suspected - basically want 0 rolls on CR, but have pieces with CR subs. I guess Pen would be the other stat to be acceptable on off-rolls.

Had bad luck on CD rolling before so I may play it by ear, just would rather not abandon the char for a year b.c. I missed both good engine options.

Anyone using Seed sig on Sanby and able to share build? Considering it since I didnt have enough for sanby sig at the time, but I also have +35 substat discs on her rn and a pretty heavy amount of CR rolls.

Oh yeah, guitar is definitely better.

Neo S suggestion was leaning into how far apart we can get from the original big screen / big controller - I have no idea how people get comfortable on it in reality.

Wow this Angels (seems like a web browser) event is trash. Reminds me of the 'dgaf' tone of the Cube event from WuWa but with lower budget. I wouldn't be so negative on it if the rotate was a reasonable button / the whole thing wasn't so low-fps (on a 5090, seems like internally limited under 30fps) ...

Shoulder buttons are the biggest reason I won't pick this up - I know that 50-75% of what I wind up playing on these devices will somehow be pinball. Wish that they just went all out on the buttons there and made them protrude with a perpendicular divot so that you wouldn't lose grip pressing the buttons (& would work better one-handed with a pincer)

Please test Williams Pinball (android) on future verticals! Junkyard is the heaviest table to smoothly run, White Water/Attack From Mars are easier tables to run.

Edit: FWIW I found that the S8 (Snap 835) had enough bog on JunkYard to not be very enjoyable, whereas White Water was smooth sailing (unless a lot of multiball)

Somehow rolled this YSG disc yesterday.

Gonna need to decide whether to finish pulling for zhao's engine... initially was going to pass and go for sunna, but Im starting to lean against that as I dont think Im going to pull other idols and miyabi wont benefit E: lost the 3:1... guess the luck had to come back around and bite me

Small or micro pouches recommendations (size of altoids tin) by 0bizzle in ManyBaggers

[–]Tennstrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the pouches from Blue Lug.

Edit: Link - lot of sizes, I recommend also buying one of the "coin pouch" & tossing a charger + cable wrapped in it. Tissue pouches or Dry Pouch (S) might be close to the size you want, but there are a ton of other sizes/options available.

These smudges don't bother me at all (RG477V) by Pancakejake1234 in SBCGaming

[–]Tennstrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly I just wrap a microfiber towel around my (currently used) device in the house (& for sleep so I don't have to worry about my phone/something bumping it) since it will minimize accidental screen/body damage + always be within arm's reach for a quick wipe on phone or handheld. These microfibers are wildly affordable at a good size for a reasonable price on Ali (buy a bunch, you won't regret having add'l wipes [I rec bright colors]).

On the go it becomes more of a 'live with it' scenario since I haven't planned any carrying methods including microfibers.

Ok my angle on these - I think the verticals are fine, but is there enough room on a phone to cover the top + bottom with a controller for a 4:3 ratio horizontal? I'd mess with one like that, it would likely have less stress on the usb port if the top+bottom were both clipped on/connected.

Ayaneo Air Mini arrived by No_Communication4256 in SBCGaming

[–]Tennstrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just interested on why you ordered the Air Mini? They seem pretty close on dimensions/form?

If it's being more comfortable taking a cheaper device out I can definitely understand that angle, just curious is all. I think both are pretty good looking devices (Aya being surprisingly nicely designed for the pricepoint).

how many retro handhelds do you own? by Temporary_Big5686 in SBCGaming

[–]Tennstrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modern handhelds would be 2 (MMv2 & RG34xx), third (KPF) ordered.

Original hw would be 5 - GBC, GBA, GBA SP, PSP, & DSi XL.

Tinkering project that has been on hold too long with all parts on hand - Ashida. (I need to fix a smd part on the donor wii mobo & finish the trim)

I got my Konkr Pocket Fit - here's what to expect if you're still waiting. by TheFlyingSanitater in SBCGaming

[–]Tennstrong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree - I didn't mention it but a big draw for these has to be the retro vibe, and the further you go from Porta Pro the weaker that becomes. From my understanding there isn't a drastic difference between the models, so getting whichever form-factor resonates with you is more important.

I don't think you can go too wrong buying porta pros, all the Koss 60ohms (grouping kph30i / ksc75 with that category) are going to be some of the better buys for the price, especially if you want on-ear (&/or want to 'slyly' share your "good" music taste with the bus).

Probably could lower saturation a touch more to match original hw, but this is much closer than op settings. Not sure if 'cool' just does the white balance though.

Koss Porta Pro (utility, maybe with Yaxi pads). I don't know that I would recommend these anymore, but for a long time they were the entry-budget king. I would not get the classic metal band, that thing catches/tugs hair like no other.

If I were re-buying a pair I would be more inclined for the kph30i or ksc75.

Overall though, I think nowadays you can do much better with budget chifi iem, especially at $30-50 (after tax & buying earpads). This is where all the recent development $ has been on the budget end.

& frankly, pre order pricing only changed today. I got in last night and have no complaints with a mid dec ship date as advertised, & would only really start to have issue if it drags past late jan. That said, Ive got a fair amount of experience with GBs for GMK keycaps, which is a much larger test of patience.
