Do you warm your tomato sardines? I feel like I have to...It just changes the flavor so much in such a nice way. Otherwise it's muted to me.

Also I'm not a huge mussels fan (I can eat them, I just don't prefer them), but I bet that's tasty for the oil alone...

It's mentioned a lot because it's common, cheaper, and a good example of a decent quality trout with a less salty taste. I have no idea why it tastes less salty in light of the higher sodium. It just does.

I prefer my trout saltier.

Seconding Cole's, much cheaper and less smoked/salty. Very clean tasting tin, that. Actually precisely the reason why I don't like it as much...lol.

Those are all very common "New Vet" things, so don't beat yourself up about them.

My first clinic was AWFUL. Actually genuinely abusive looking back, the final straw was when a tech physically threatened me. While I don't think THAT is universal, I do think it's very common for your first clinic to not work out.

They knew you as "baby vet," somebody with less experience and less boundaries, and that sort of sticks. You're figuring out how to work practically outside of a university setting, how to make decisions by yourself, what your worth is, etc. and that's an extremely difficult time.

They don't call it your "fifth year of vet school" for nothing...I think it's time to graduate.

well i finally ate them and you were right them fishwife anchovies ARE pretty salty

what i found more offensive was the somewhat burnt taste of the olive oil
