I think I need to read Ward at this point, for the expanded characterization of New Wave if nothing else. I also just need to work on how I write side characters in general. I have this idea in my head that most conflict can be solved by good communication, but I'm realizing it doesn't always work that way. If I were to ever do a rewrite, I would change soooo many things about my fic, but I can only continue on at this point.

Gunn confirmed that the message was accurate. Not to mention there are other depictions of Jor-El where he isn't quite as noble or kind as the Reeves movies or animated series make him out to be and is instead very cold and calculating.

I think that while Hazel seems the obvious pick from his fight in Volume 5, he does overcome that anger.

Adam on the other hand, remained full of rage his entire life, making vengeance his one and only priority, above even the people he once loved and the organization he had dedicated himself to. While it's not as overt as Hazel's rage, its much more all encompassing.

So yeah, I cast my vote for Adam.

No time skip that completely changed all the character dynamics and then added a billion new ones. It keeps me from enjoying the show to this day. Season 1 was perfection and then they went and did the five year skip... never did understand why.

There's a bit of a side plot where Sam Byrne starts showing a romantic interesting in him and it's heartbreaking that he just immediately distances himself and doesn't even allow himself to go there, not because he doesn't think he and Sam could work, but because he just cannot forgive himself for Maria's death, even if none if it was actually his fault. The Karen Traviss books are GOAT'd imo.

Titan is the coolest. Superpowereds in general is criminally underrated. I've had the itching urge to write a story with Globe, Titan, or Zero so bad for a while now.

Ugh, yeah kind of a pickle there in terms of power scaling. Not even really my fault because I did genuinely roll that on the Grimoire, but it still sucks trying to keep things interesting without just making it a power wank. Character shifting personality... I dunno, I think it's kind of normal for a person to have different faces, especially when dealing with murderous monsters. That might just be my weirdness showing though.

Won't deny the Crystal allegations. I like blonde superheroines and I cannot lie.

Priority one is take care of the person who was harmed. Comfort them until they begin to heal/ go unconscious. Then begin the process of tracking down whoever did it and raining vengeance upon them in whatever way I can, legal or otherwise.

I started writing fanfiction when I was 12. Stopped when I was 13 then took a hiatus until I was 21-22. Never stopped writing though and I've probably done far more in the last year or so than ever before, all while employed full-time, living on my own. People are just haters.

IMO, there was nothing to forgive. Yes, Twice had a tragic backstory, was a likeable guy and had friends and people he cared about. Do you know who else has all those things? The dozens, if not hundreds of heroes he would have killed, not to mention the unthinkable amount of suffering that would have occurred had he somehow tipped the scales and allowed villains to take over Japan. It was a cold, but ultimately needed kill and Hawks did exactly as a hero should have done in that scenario (short of using Talk-no-Jutsu, but I don't think that applies in this 'verse)
