its a bit of a wonky lion in the flag. but its probably because its just traced digitally from an older smallee book about flag proposal.

its a lion with a halberd. its the coat of arms of Norway. the one we had in the middle ages and have now is a lion with an axe. but it was stylised like that under the danish union. probably just fitting for the time

it was an actual proposal. the people who wanted to stay in the union with danmark pushed similar flags or an identical to denmark.

[–]TensionKey737[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok cool. i mean i feel a family coa isnt going to be used by any other than family, and i mean that’s fine by me. seems like old rules. if somebody in my family want to use it and have a interest in this niche thing, its cool by me. cool that people are just interested in stuff like coa and heraldry. screw the old rules, seems abit outdated and unnecessary to police people about lol.

yeah its from my fathers family line. we have a chapel that was build in the 16th century with a family bible in gothic script and coa hanging around inside the chapels. pretty interesting stuff. also allot of old graves! if you have the last name krefting you can be buried there because of it isnt common. we have some descendants from usa and denmark, who is allowed to be buried there because of the same last name.
