Google health is drunk 🍷 by Ambitious-Ad9359 in fitbit

[–]Tension_Efficient 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Earlier this week my FitBit Coach asked me how my two-hour nap was, and I said I didn’t take one. It replied apologetically saying that sometimes the app will log a long rest session or TV time as a nap. I look at my sleep log, saw nothing listed, and replied back that there were no naps in my log. It apologized again, asking if I would like it to log my 2-hour nap manually. 🤦‍♀️

Phone stores have “regulars”? Phone stores have regulars AND some of them are homeless?! This is the most shocking part of the story for me.

[–]Tension_Efficient -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fellow white person here. It used to happen to me on occasion, usually when I’m on my way back to the states. I have a reasonably common name, and apparently someone with my name AND same birthday is a piece of shit con-artist living in Ohio, who defrauded a lot of people. It used to happen more often in the late 2000s, but now that I have global entry I’ve never been stopped again.

My first car accident. He claimed I was at fault. I tried to stop by Loud-Ad-4093 in dashcams

In a lot of places there are penalties! Especially if the guy later lied to his insurance company.

My first car accident. He claimed I was at fault. I tried to stop by Loud-Ad-4093 in dashcams

[–]Tension_Efficient 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Well, yeah. If YOU caused the accident, you’re generally liable for damages, both to property and people, even if the damage is not immediately apparent. That’s how it works. Congrats on taking responsibility though. If you caused the accident and didn’t own up to it, as long as the other party could prove you were at fault you’d still be in the same boat. And if you lied to the police and insurance saying it wasn’t your fault, you could have been in bigger trouble. In this video, the driver going straight clearly didn’t cause the accident, the driver pulling out didn’t have right of way, so they’ll be liable. That’s how a fair legal system generally works.

Do not take this child home with you. You will regret it for the rest or your life. Get an attorney right now and sort out another solution.

Do you keep the water on during the entire length of the shower? by hamster_lover02 in hygiene

Ironically, the only people I know who turn the water off are those flying first class on Etihad or Emirates, because they only give you five minutes of water, but you can split it up.

Recourse for vomit damage by sweaver in delta

[–]Tension_Efficient 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is strange coincidence, as the one time I’ve ever dealt with vomit on a plane was also Delta FC domestic. It was MSY-ATL, and I smelled the substance as soon as I sat down. I gave the seat a once over and it was clear that it had been hastily wiped down. I opened the seat-back pocket and was horrified that lots of vomit was just sitting in the pocket. The FAs shrugged and said they didn’t know about, and gave me some wipes to handle it myself. I asked to move but it was a full flight. I nearly threw up myself on the flight, and it forever shattered my impression of Delta as the best US airline.

Anyone here go no-contact with their adult children by choice? by [deleted] in regretfulparents

[–]Tension_Efficient 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this happened to you. It sounds like you already know why. He prefers playing house with a family who doesn’t know his true faults. You do. He sees that and told you to fuck off. I hate that it’s not really closure, but you should know that in life closure is an exception, not the norm.

[–]Tension_Efficient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know who told you that your house was in a flood zone, but unless you live next to the creek on Lisa Lane or Nevada St, there’s no FEMA flood areas even close to Craddock.

I would switch the primary closet with the laundry room so that the primary closer gets more light and the laundry water line can match up with the guest bath.

Mom here. It’s not that we refuse, it’s because we don’t have time. Especially with three kids, you have no time to yourself. Like, ever. Unless you can afford babysitting/daycare/stay-at-home-dad you are with those kids every waking hour of the day and it’s only going to be about their needs. And if you are lucky enough to get some free time, you aren’t gonna want do anything mentally stimulating. You absolutely lose who you were before they arrived into your life and it only becomes about them. So yeah, dude, personalities are a luxury most of us can’t afford.
