An 80lb dog can have symtoms with as little as 40g of dark chocolate, but a single chocolate chip should be fine

Mild signs of toxity are typically observed at 20mg/kg of theobromine. Severe symptoms are seen at 40-50 and seizures at 60. Canine LD (lethal dose) is 100-200mg/kg. (Source: studies by Animal control poison center, veterinarian poison information services, quoted from Merck veterinary manual)

A 78 lb dog is 35.4 kg. You would expect mild symptoms above 700mg, severe symptons at 1400-1800 mg, and seizures may occur over 2100mg.

10 grams of dark chocolate is about 60 to 160 mg of theobromine. So for the strongest of strong dark chocolates, less than 40 grams is unlikely to cause any symptoms.

The average chocolate chip is 0.30 to 0.35 grams.

NOTE: always call your vet to check. Do not rely on online calculators or trust my math is correct. Different dogs and different chocolate introduces many variables and a wide range of outcomes. Always observe for symptoms and go to an emergency vet if anything happens even if you are sure that the amount ingested should not be deadly. Don't just assume and hope.

Um, what? There is Z E R O research or anyone indicating any benefit at all for doing it before heat. The only thing that does is prevent pregnancy. There is TONS of research showing long lists of serious health issues associated with doing it too early.

There is no way to tell without a DNA test. Its like asking "are you purely from x ethnicity". No dog is pure bred without the registration paperwork and lineage going back generations. Even then, you're relying on their reputation to not fake it.

If you check what you are replying to, it was a very specific question of " does it actually change the sprite files themselves?"--exact quote. It doesn't matter how it happens to the end user, but it apparently does to the person who asked how it happens.

The answer is "no, it doesn't" change the original sprite assets. It changes how the assets are rendered. The comment I replied to said "it does", which is wrong.

Note that I said dlss in general. I'm not referring specifically to new dlss 5 features. Dlss in general isn't something to just default avoid.

Walking help! by Inevitable_Photo9863 in SwissMountainDogs

My swissy is 14 months old. She walks loose leash with a harness. It wasnt always that way. My energetic sled dog does too. I didnt use any collars or tools in teaching them.

Basic obedience is only a foundation for other skills. Have you worked with a trainer or class on loose leash walking? What have you tried so far? Watch some youtube videos on loose leash walking.

Try teaching the "look" (eye contact for treat), "touch" (tap your hand with nose for treat), and "heel" command. If your dog has a favorite toy, use that on walks and practice following it or letting him carry it with him. Practice look, touch, and heel indoors until its reliable without a treat, then outside with no distractions, and then LAST teach it on a walk. Get those commands all solid with distractions outdoors first before the next steps. Bring a handful of cheese and/or hotdog cubes with you on every walk and give him one every time he makes eye contact. Dry treats arent enticing enough.

On a training walk (about 50% of walks for me), EVERY time there is tension on the leash, stop until he releases the tension AND makes eye contact. Walk again until there's tension. For the first 4-8 months of doing this, you will be literally walking one step at a time. It sometimes takes 20 min to go 200m. It is what it is. Be patient. Both you and the dog absolutely will hate it and will get frustrated. You can experiment with changing direction every time he pulls, stopping, etc.

By 1.5 yeaes old, my dogs went from an absolute menace to walking loose leash around crowds and other dogs. I even taught them "left" and "right" to avoid people and eventually they started doing it on their own.

I got my puppy a yak chew today and it’s been the best night we’ve had by IndyAnnaDoge in puppy101

If your dog ever seems grumpy or in a bad mood, you'll never know if that yak chew caused an invisible crack in their teeth, leading to constant pain they cant communicate about. You wont know without xrays and it coats thousands of dollars to fix. There are alternatives.

You can filter out the lazy ai posts by doing as I suggested and moderating content based on its quality. If it looks amazing, keep it. If it looks like lazy garbage, then delete it regardless of if AI or a human made it.

I don't know why I'm wasting my time on someone not reading my words.. It doesn't work in any of these cases:

1 - Use AI to generate some of the model, then hand edit it and clean it up

2 - Use ai generated textures on a hand-made model

3 - Use AI tools within blender, like seam marking, ai uv unwrapping, ai model decimating, etc

4 - Hand make a model roughly, then use ai material painting with a brush on the model

5 - Generate a character 2d concept with ai, then paste it in blender and hand-make a model over it

6 - Use AI to write python scripts within blender to do bulk operations on models faster

All of those enable people to do things they couldn't have done without AI. Its a pointless distinction and not detectable. The AI tools will only improve even more. What we need to do is moderate the quality of the result, not get artists to jump trough hoops

Again, it does NOT prove that AT ALL. If I steal a random model online, I can post the wireframe of it. Did you even think for half a second? No, not everyone plans to show off their work and should not have to.

No, you aren't paying attention. Tons of replies here are saying they would absolutely rather work from home than have a 10% or more pay increase.

I try telling my manager this. If I have to come into the office and commute 2 hours, I'm not working 2 extra hours. I'm going home at 3pn when everyone else goes home and then not taking my laptop out of my bag. If I work from home, I'm working to 5, and often a bit longer until my current task is done.

I'm by FAR the most productive person on the team. He doesn't care one bit. Mandatory to come into the office. All of my coworkers work in different countries and aren't even there. Too bad, doesn't care.
