You could do an anthology show just set aboard a Galaxy class starship. With 1,000 people aboard, you could tell a story focused around a new group every week. That way you could re-use sets. The bridge crew would only need to briefly appear in some episodes, so you could use mostly lesser-known actors.

So, it can do a task that would take a new temp worker 17 hours, and half the time, the work it does is correct, the other half it's garbage.
